Thread: To Respec or Not To Respec...
Save it for 2 reasons:
1 - You are halfway done. Try to grind as much as you can and save it in case you go in the hole before you finish your grind. That way you can respec to a more defensive template if you start having serious BH troubles.
2 - You never know what SOE will do. I saved my respec until I was 4000 Healer, 2002 Enhancer, 0400 Powers, and some LS. I had enough to respec to a Mastery and 2 novice boxes. So I respeced to MDef and AI got nerfed in the next patch. I would rather have cloak, improved force armor, and improved aura than Avoid Incap. My advice is to save it in case your template gets gimped. With the FRS possibly out soon, you may find a new template necessary for Jedi vs. Jedi PVP, or it could be based on PVE or something else entirely. Keep your options open.
Id say respec.. Its not worth saving..
Myself I have had to change the template after every publish, and its alot easier, safer and more fun when grinding with a more or less complete template. Safer against bh'ers, and you can kill stuff faster..
And when FRS gets back again, i'll just do like Im doing all the time these days.. regrind.

Thx Amil, but why do you say that respec is priceless? Its all grindable...could this get me there quicker and safer now rather than a easier regrind once im more templated?

I say its priceless because--How much would some people pay for a respec who don't have one? 100 million credits?
Your grind may be easier after your respec, but if you don't use it you will always have the freedom to drastically change your template down the road and its hard to say how things will turn out. There is a lot of security having a respec. Even if your exp gets into the negative.

I am not sure what your CL is right now, but you will grind alot faster as a CL 80 (respec to mastery) than you will at CL 57. 800xp vs 1100xp (purely example) makes a big difference in the course of your grind.
