Thread: How about some Jedi CONTENT?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but itseems to me that the Jedi proffession lacks any actual content. You "become" a Jedi, then you simply exist. There is no Jedi proffession content. You go around carriyng a LS and shooting lightning, but your really not doing anything different than you were before you were a Jedi when you were a Pistoleer, your just more powerful. The only content associated with being a Jedi is the village(but thats not techinicaly Jedi content, as you are not a Jedi when you do it), the padawan trials, and the currently non-existant knight trials.


Doing the padawan trials, though not even really a Jedi yet, actualy made me FEEL like a Jedi, as I was doing the kind of things a Jedi would do. Would anybody else enjoy it if the jedi shrines acted as "mission terminals" and gave out Jedi missions similar to the kinds of quests you do for the padawan/knight trials, that gave you a certain amount of Jedi xp for completing? In fact, let me go so far as to say Jedi xp SHOULDNT be able to be gotten from killing animals, you should have to do missions like the padawan/knight trials to get Jedi xp. It is called Jedi xp after all, not LS xp. Getting jedi xp from missions instead of killing animals would make the path to full temp fun instead of monotonous.

Everyone says ToOW is gunna be jed, but the devs say it wont....so when do we get content....ROTW gave us a pink crystal, nothing else. This game is bounty hunter galaxies so we cant add content for jedi



my old register messed up so now im stuck with the 05 one and ive been playing for 2 years

how about no.


there are several other more deserving professions that have been out since launch that do not have content or even the ability to do what their name implies.


why should you be special?

Why do jedi deserve content ? I would prefer content that everyone can enjoy. Stop being so selfish.

How are we doing what our name implies either? Just because we have a LS doesnt make us a Jedi anymore than just because someone has a gun makes them a smuggler. Doing the kind of stuff in the padawan/knight trials is what did/would make someone a Jedi. At our current state, we're no more Jedi then smugglers are smugglers. Both us and them are names and no meaning behind them.

the thing is jedi had an frs which was content. a good size group of jedi found ways to exploit in it with fight clubs and had it removed from game as it was to easy to exploit.


other professions that have been in game a minimum of 6 months before jedi still have not had a single bit of content aimed at them, smuggler being the loudest voice in the group.


post like this is a slap in the faces of any vets that play this game to be those professions, not everyone bought the game to be a jedi though the game is deffinatly heading towards everyone being forced to have one just to compete and get the content that the devs release to live.


it's not bad to want more content, but to ask for specific content when jedi already had a chance just leads others into buying the hype that all jedi are selfish children that are tring to kill the game.


i gotta admit though i may be biased as i did join the game to be a smuggler and have been one since the original beta.

I understand your point, but what you also have to admit, is that though, as you say, a certain proff may have been in game before Jedi, Jedi requires alot more work to achieve than any normal proff. Not everyone has been playing since launch. That being the case, someone who put the months into becomming a Jedi(just2 get padawan at that, not even mentioning full temp)would logicaly deserve content more than someone who put the week into mastering smuggler.Either way though,one thing you need to stop doing is putting words in peoples mouths. I didnt say I disagreed w/ the fact that smugglers need to be able to smuggle, nor did I say that the Jedi content issue should be addressed before the smuggler one, I was just throwing a general idea about the Jedi proffs lack of content on the table.
