Thread: what about changing the way sabers are made

nice idea there
only down side i could see to this would be if you have a hard time experimenting in the right area to make a good saber or if the 1000oq reasources havn't spawned on your server for awhile.
but i like the idea and would much rather do that than camp another 50 crystals to get a best tune of 55 -5

does anyone remember anything in the movie about krayt pearls being in the sabers or is it written in any of the books about jedi. i for one hate that we do such crappy damage compared to other professions, what if your saber stats were determined like a normally crafted weapon and instead of that crappy base damage you could possible max your damage out when crafting it of course it would require being MLS for the uber sabers but you could adjust your style of weapon just like as if you got a ph sliced cept you make yours how you like during the experimentation part, also it would make more jedi equal instead of all the post-cu jedi that are poor becoming master powers like what i plan to do. not saying everyone needs the same saber but i think that if post-cu are at a disadvantage and the sabers arent that powerful anyway maybe we get new crafting style that allow a mls to make something more like a powerhammer stats 509-1020 2.4 base speed 83 sac and maybe fc 10 at best and then you can adjust things just like a weapon smith to make out more damage or lower speed or what not, and yesi have a powerhammer that has those stats cause its speed sliced and speed puped for me its .98 speed and i think its better then any saber ive heard of in the hands of a master sword man i hit harder then most jedi vs other people so just a thought, is it worth it or is it only a good idea to those of us that didnt get the oportunity to tune 30 flawless pearls back in the day cause we didnt play before july '05.

Maybe u should ask our correspondent to do something.We get nerfs after nerf.Nothing is getting better.I was lucky i unlocked pre cu and got some good prems before cu.But with the nerfs we had since cu this whole jedi being is like a joke.A newcommer with a 1 week old account can have a toon with higher damage output than we do.All my pearls/crystal are over 100dmg and -8 -9fc but my damage output is still a joke comparing to a guy with a rifle.He can shoot at me from 80m makin really high damage.U can say i have armor break yes but some guys(call them simple the devs) give them the chance to slice their armors against armor break.Not to talk about the tons of bugs our profession had...

i say we make a new saber where base dmg is 50-60% of total dmg not like today when it is 20-30% of it then we are not so independent of good pearls as we are now it is more about res . so cut our pearl dmg to 50% and raise base saber dmg with 250% same with speed/fc and bring in sac in to our pearls

in light of these brand new weapons, I think they should reintroduce the tier / gen saber ratio
remake the pearls so that 60 is the max dmg that they could and 50 for pwr crystals
novice LS - Training Saber------------------------max dmg without pearls 100 (cant hold pearls) = 100 dmg max
tier 1 - 1st gen of the tree(s) grinded------------max dmg without pearls, 200 (cant hold pearls) = 200 dmg max
tier 2 - 2nd gen of the tree(s) grinded-----------max dmg without pearls, 300 (can hold1 pearl) = 360 dmg max
tier3 -3rd gen of the tree(s) grinded------------max dmg without pearls, 400 (can hold2 pearls) = 520 dmg max
tier4 -4th gen of the tree(s) grinded------------max dmg without pearls, 500 (can hold4 pearls) = 740 dmg max
Master - 5th gen saber-----------------------------max dmg without pearls, 700 (can hold6 pearls) = 1060 dmg max
