When you create your char you can just choose, you will get a second character slot for a 1 year veteran reward or you can go jedi after 2 years.

This way the players who have played long enough get the opportunity to play as a jedi and that's sure they deserve it(orginal idea from Raven').

The most important thing right now is to stop the jedi flood, it is wrong.

lol, hell if it was a 2 year reward, i wouldn't be here paying soe to play this half --- bug infested game so i could become a jedi.

I kinda like the idea, a lot less jedi roaming around!

See you just showed I got a point. This game can be bugged, there allways will be subscribers cuz it's Star Wars and only a few select who are the most comited would ever become a jedi and that is right.

Uhh that just means everyone over 2 years could be Jedi, so we got current population + the noobs who want it but are to lazy to grind it out.

Why would SOE give away their main money making tool away? the ability for people too take months even years depending on their game time....one of my friends who was one of the first too unlock on lowca didn't finish his template until bout 2 months before the CU went live. It doesn't matter if it's worth the time, listen NOTHING is worth anyones time in a computer game, computer games are a waste of time in reality, some of us just choose too kill time wiht them, but that doesn't mean we deserve any better then someone else. It's like saying this in other words..."Well hey!Hehas acar worth500,000and has only been working for 3 months! I've been working for 3 years and i'm still stuck with this 12,000 POS, HEY I DESERVE THAT CAR MORE THEN HE DOES".

What makes you think a two-year vet deserves to have a Jedi?

Terrible idea. Like someone already said, Jedi should be earned. It is not supposed to be easy for everyone to get. It is supposed to take time and dedication to achieve. Any idea that makes Jedi easier to get is a bad one. We already have posts on the Force Sensitive forum that want to start petitions to put a shuttleport next to the Village because of the long drive. These are the types of Jedi that will be joining your ranks soon.

Also, no one should havea second character slot. I understand Jedi get it and that will never change. However, I think it was a bad idea and wish SOE never did it. SWG has a very unique economy in that it is player driven. Crafters are needed and sought after. Handing out second character accounts would destroy this aspect of the game. As it is everyone I've ever met ingame has plans on going Jedi so most everyone will have an alt of some kind.

This is a video game. No one "deserves anything" in that sense.

We are paying customers irl, so we do deserve updates, patches, bugfixes, INFORMATION (*cough*), and all of those sorts of things....the things you would expect from any business you were giving your money to. But no one "deserves" a Jedi, just like no one had to "work" for a Jedi, they "played" for a Jedi.

Side note, I also hate when they say that professional athletes "go to work". Sure, what they do, in some cases, is very hard. No, I couldn't do it. But that doesn't make it work. It's still a game, and they still play for a living. Same thing applies here...now if only I could get SOE to sign me to a 3 year, 30 million dollar contract to play as a Jedi....
