They do but i looted only one fair crystall in 3 runs - so i gave up on this - efficiency is not that good. I was most lucky with the roaming Spiderclan Highlevel mobs - the sentinel i killed yesterday dropped a good one and one of the other 2 Spiderclans dropped a darkred color one

Yeah, but low drop rate, I cleared it out 8 times last nite and only got 1 crystal. Get better drop rate if you drive around looking for the force npc's instead of walking around in that cave.

Yeah, it does now, more or less -- Poors and Fairs. The NPCs have gotten a boost to CL-60, and when I went, each MOb was triple-spawning -- three copies of each NPC, probably a bug. In four hours of killing and looting, I came out with four Fairs, two Petrified Avian Eggs (which look like red color crystals), and a "rare artifact" (that colorful little decorative item that looks vaguely lambda-shaped). The Fairs produced their usual crappy tunes for me... +17/-0.08/-4 to +66/-0.01/-2. If the devs fix the triple-spawning bug, you can expect your time spent per crystal to be three times what I experienced. Knock yourself out.

In general, random spawns seem to be set to higher drop rates than static-spawn MObs. The trick lies in finding them.
