But im only lvl 21, can i ignore the old man and speak 2 him later and what happens if the sith attack and kill me or i avoid them? can i do it at a later date? or am i screwed

Might want to try the Force Sensitive forums but... talk to the old man, group up w/ some higher CL friends and have some fun killing the Sith. Post-CU, I was able to get my CL1 all crafting alt into the village w/ 1 person helping.
EDIT: You canavoid talking to the old man but he'll keep coming back for you... kinda like the respec token.LOL

well best to have any friends or guildies to help you. but yes you can wait a while. when i had to fight MEL it took me 3 days cause of bugs and other reasons. but if the sith kill you i am not sure what happens, i never died so, probly best to level up some more.

ya i was like lvl 40-ish when i was glowy and yes, i died by the sith, if you die they just take ur force crystal and you have to wait on the old mna again, but of my guildy jedi helped me with the sith and i was fine after that,
although, you might get the bug where you cant loot the datapad, now thats annoying!!

The Force sensitive forums has a good FAQ that'll give you all the info you need. Also, when you get to the village, ask others there for a little help.
