Make FS easier, but make Jedi harder.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but its really lame to try and make becomming FS harder. I personally think that they need to make Jediquite a bitharder, but also more rewarding/ powerful.

Additionally, it doesn't matter how many FS/Jedi there are on the server, its the visibility of Jedi that make'normals' mad, and I think that the devs have, at least in some ways, started fixing that with the the FRS revamp that they say they are working on. So please, instead of trying to make FS harder, just live with the fact that people want to be Jedi, but shouldn't have to get there in a much more difficult fashion than you did.

Its not the system, its how much time has passed in-game. 4 months after launch the game was unexplored and chars werent full-out.

Two years now, Almost everything is known, there are tons of people who have had th etime and knowledge to get to jedi and get there friends to jedi ect ect

In the first 6 months after release when everyone was running around trying to figure out how to unlock, the number of excellent ideas people had about how to go about it was quite large.

Many, many great schemes for unlocking were discussed. HISTORY: No one knew then, that you had to master 5 random professions.... dumbest idea ever. If you're recall, the whole problem became that no one was unlocking because people would master 1-3 professions, settle in to what they enjoyed and just play the game. The devs (read: Raph) totally failed to see this coming: that people would take professions they liked and stick with those professions instead of just randomly mastering professions. It boggles the mind. ANYway, the "fix" to theidiocy of the 5random profession methodwas then to let people know what their professions were thru holocrons and we all know what a disaster that was.

The point being, people gave the devs the benefit of the doubt and believed that the path to FS must be cleverly implemented. We all thought that way because of all the hype they gave the "secret" method for unlocking prior to release. They talked up a great game. People took everything the devs had said (wasn't much, and I'm not going to list) and used those facts as starting points to develop theories, many of which were very creative and included things like:

- you had to visit every city

- you had to join a faction

- you had to avoid killing certain people/creatures

- you had an invisible FS xp bar that would fill or empty depending on your in-game actions

on and on. Great Ideas.

None of which were ever implemented lmao.

I told you all that so I could tell you this: Great post. Don't waste your time. The FS system isn't the only place people have proposed excellent ideas which have been completely ignored by the devs, but it's one of the more glaring examples.
