Thread: Why is there still a XP loss from BHs?

I wanted to discuss this, because i really ask myself, where the Point of this is.

To controll the Jedi Population? Lets say is straight up to the point...this hasn´t worked.

To prevent friendly BHs, to make some easy, fast money? Well...you can´t pick a specific Jedi as a Mission any more, so it´s not so easy, to use BH Missions on Jedi, for such a thing.

To make Jedi a hard to playprofession? Well...it is not, any more....i think.

I don´t see any sense in XP loss, from BHs, but i see a very bad thing about it: The BH Community and the Jedi Community, is almost at some kind of war...they want nerfs for the other profession, hatetells, etc. It splits the Community..which can´t be good.

So i beg you, to discuss the XP loss from BHs, maybe there can be found a better solution, which will bring peace to both sides

I will also post this at the BH Forum

Too true, XP loss from BH kills are useless. There wouldnt be much difference without it, it´s just too less loss.

Honestly, taking away xp loss by cloning and visibilities by group members were two very big faults, making Jedi as easy to play like lets say Marksman.

Except it wont take you months-a year to just GET novice marksman, and then months more to grind it to master.
The grind is rediculous if you think about how weak we are compared to the work involved.
Many non-Jedi players can beat Jedi, there are even popular melee duelists that can beat good full template ones one on one.

Further XP costs because of loss just don't make sense when there's really no reward. Jedi players just aren't much more then your average players and Jedi bounties are just an excuse to grief. Want bounty hunters to come after Jedi? Make them NPCs, scale them to the Jedi's strength so we don't have BH picking on lowbie Jedi.

All in all any reason for XP loss was done away with by the CU.

3 million jedi xp a day in a grind group on Lok + 3 weeks = Fully templated jedi.

Thats the way it is now, I did 3 milliona day when changing my template. 'Normal' Padawan get same xp because they are CL80 too. So dont say months

EDIT: Just to remind you, the very minimum for the villiage is 18 weeks, plus XP equalling at least half a dozen normal professions to get to Jedi.

I'd like to know how you work that out.
Even on a really heavy grind day when I spend 8 hours or so in a spin group I don't get a million XP.

And I'd like to know where you get the idea that all padawans are 80, I was between 56-59 for over a week, under 70 all before that.

XP loss has been the Dev's attempted way of limiting Jedi numbers and advancement. (which hasn't worked very well)

You are lucky it is only BH death that costs you XP. It wasn't long ago that ANY death cost a Jedi XP.

XP loss and being hunted is a part of the profession. If you don't want to be huntedand lose XP then don't get visibility, or don't play a Jedi.

XP loss and BH missions are nothing more than sanctioned griefing by SOE to appease little nerf babies that don't want to invest the 400 million XP it takes to become a Jedi.

That's like saying griefing is part of being a BH.
Like many other things they didn't take into account the maturity level of players when making it so some could purposely kill others to make it hard if not impossible for them to advance.

I did never say all. I said 'normal', with which I mean masters of two combat professions.

Oh and I did these xp in a group of 4 - 8 cl80 Jedi, hunting gurks, around 8 hours a day. Not THAT hardcore.

Edit: 2 - 3 mins a lair

Remember when Kessel was PvP only? No wonder 3 out of 4 people have cancelled their accounts.

They also did not take maturity into account when they added an alpha class to the game. Not saying jedi should not be stronger than normal profs, because they should be, but there are always people that will abuse it.
