Thread: Hello cookie cutter templet Jedi...

From the looks of things, there is no selection on skills.
It sounds to me like if you are a Jedi... you are a Jedi thats it, none of this, what templet does he/she have and all that.
Everyone that IS a Jedi now will be granted "Elder" status... What about us pre-patch 9 jedi? I mean a new paddy can hit CL 80 in 3 weeks come on!!!
All there trying to do is toss us a bone and say ooo look at this, you get a crystal that gives you a "slight" edge over the newer Jedi, whats a slight edge? 50 elemental? or 50 min/max damage more? IF THAT!!
Ok we also get a new robe (looks like the light/dark FRS robes) with some defensive properties. big whoop so will everyone else!!!
Did I mention that you get 10 respects at the start of this new system? oh ya and you dont even have to be a Jedi to respec to a Jedi!!! (yup read the post,) ANYONE can respec to ANY profession, and Tigg said "allthough its not fair you get to be a Jedi when you wernt even force sensitive but you can do it" Now how many people that bought this game in June will be a Jedi now?
Thanks SOE, im speechless... Really this has to be a joke right? someone tell me this is a joke.
Eveyone will have the SAME skills and very very close to the SAME damage output. A sad Idea indeed.

Thing is, with how the new combat system will work, you actually need a different skill other than button masher...it will actually require skills to fight.

That 1 thing I will give you. Much more skill will be required to defeet your foe that has everything the same as you lol.
The joy about this current system is "Choice" We can chose to give up defences for force powers, this new system everyone gets everything i guess.
Then again I liked that pre-9 days, I had everything, it was left up to the sabers damage to decide lol
Dont get me wrong I would LOVE to have all the powers, and defences and LS skills all in one, the down fall with that is... so will everyone else, how boring is that
