I have been gone quite a long time... can someone tell me how the pvp rating numbers work, and what they mean? I think my number is going down as I am killing players, is that supposed to happen? I'd appreciate if someone could post a link or something where this is explained, thanks

i think it works of the same principles that chess ratings work off
everyone starts at 1200
you gain up to 20 points for a win and lose up to 20 points for a defeat depending on your opponents rating
eg you (1250) fught me (1350)
you beat me and gain 13 points and i lose 13 points
i beat you i gain 7 points you lose 7 points
the defeat penaulty for you is lower as i am expected to beat you anyway - so high level players gain very little ganing low level poor pvp players etc - to get significant rises you have to fight people with pvp ratings close to your own

Rating is useless and should be removed,it discourages people to solo pvp more and instead its gank wars. You know your a noob when your like "OMG I cant declare vs those 3 since I dont wanna risk my rating"
*Before you say something...my pvp rating is 1724 but it will drop to 1670 next time I get ganked but who cares
