With the rumors of Pistoleers and Fencers getting two weapons, wouldn't it be neat if they took away the two handed lightsaber box...sadly its not very consistent with lightsabers.
A single bladed lightsaber can be used with one hand...or two.
And instead put in Two Lightsaber boxes. Then you could have Single Blade, Double Blade, Twin Saber. I think it would be super sweet and add a differentaesthetic to lightsaber combat.
You guys tell me what ya think.

This idea's been floating around for a while now, Dividing the mods from Tech tree andmaking a 'Two Saber' tree.

There's always going to be room for additional improvements upon the game.
My two cents:
Giving Master Saber an additional cert and ability to craft a mutli handed weapon could be intresting. The weapon would need to be slightly lower in damage then a 1h saber while being faster [if possible]. Maybe duel wielded sabers could consume a lesser amount of force or possibly more force with some crazy states included. Heavy states on a deul wielded system could be justified since it would appear the use of duel weapons would benefit from distracting a foe and keeping them offgaurd.
I think another option would be to include the cert and crafting abillity within the FRS. The more you look into adding a weapon like this the more 'clutter' there is to clean up. Such as, making duel wielded weapons availble to Master BHs or Master Pisotleers. Then you would have to deal with either usingstandard weapons or having to creat a whole new class of 'duel wielded weapons'.I doubt these things would get implemeneted without first gaurenteing that NO one is left out from a new game feature. Afterall, it wouldn't be fair to give Jedi more 'coolness' factor without resolving other game issues first.
Either way, I think it could be cool.

I have always been disappointed in the lightsaber crafting process. In the star wars universe this task was an important step for the Jedi Padawan in their training. They spent a lot of time gathering the components, tuning their crystal (not crystals) and actually assembling the final lightsaber. The current way is very shallow. Gather resources, dump in box and click ok. There you have it, a lightsaber. Experimentation means nearly nothing, perhaps 20 damage and 5 FC. The real kicker is the importance of having 4 perfect tunes... lightsabers have always, except in KOTOR, had one crystal and that crystal had little to do with the weapon's effectiveness.
My proposal is made to balance the current, and severe, crystal shortage and imbalance with pre CU sabers. Needing 4 crystals is insane, and that is assuming all 4 tune well, and we all know how that goes. You need 15 "good" pearls to even hope for a mediocre tune. That means that you must camp a mob for 60 crystals before you get even a mediocre saber. For the perfect saber made with the current supply of pearls/crystals you would have to camp for on average about 120,000... I hear the cheers of joy already. Who hasn't dreamed of camping kryats everyday for 10 years?
By making the lightsaber more effective in it's base form then the crystal becomes a bonus to the lightsaber rather than the weapon's total effectiveness. Refine the crafting process based on the generation. Every lightsaber should have one slot for a crystal pack. Just one.
The crystal pack works in place of the already implemented "refined crystal pack." Essentially the recipe changes. The pack is made of 1-2 crystals, one colored (required) and the other for bonus elemental damage (clear crystal/pearl, optional). Every crystal/pearl would be untuned for the sake of economy. If you have 4 perfect tunes and now only need 1 then you have 3 to sell. The reduced impact of that bonus will lower the "value" of these crystals. They are no longer absolutely neccessary, but it is a nice bonus. In this fashion the difference between the "perfect" saber and a mediocre saber is about 30 damage, 2 FC, and .15 speed. That is a great advantage, but nowhere near as unbalanced as it is currently.
The crafting process works something like this. In preparation for building the lightsaber you must craft and experiment on4 components for the lightsaber itself, and prepare a crystal pack to go in the saber when it is finished. The four components are 1)casing, 2)Focusing Lens, 3)Superconducting wire kit, and 4)Specialized power cell. Each can be crafted and experimented on as many times as desired for best results, just like in nonJedi crafting. Once you have the 4 components to your satisfaction you combine these 4 components. Experiment one more time and out comes a lightsaber. This better reflects the time and effort that goes into the building of one's lightsaber and rewards those who are patient. Open the saber and put the crystal pack in and it is ready.
My original idea was to put the crystal pack into the crafting process, but I didn't like the idea of losing my Sunrider's Destiny to a critical failure, as it can't be replaced. Hopefully the devs can put into the program that the crafting of the crystal pack itself can never critically fail. The effectiveness of the crystal pack is simple. This will add an elemental bonus to the saber equal to the crystal mods+20%ish damage mod in the case of a named crystal, thus a perfect tune (damage 120) with a Sunrider's Destiny becomes a mod of 144. That works out to be 36 damage more than the same process done with a damage mod of 90.
Otherwise just put in "Flawless/Premium" pearls/crystals and be done with it. No matter how strategically one plays a MLS witha 750 damage saber, 1.16 speed, 17 FC saber beats the current mediocre saber hands down and the mediocre is stuck as mediocre, unless of course they camp dragons for 120,000 pearls to tune. This is clearly an imbalancing issue. I think the above idea would be more fun than camping crystal loots, but I'd be happy with any balance.
