Thread: Decided to return to SWG

Hello all, well, I decided to return to SWG. I left SWG in January to play WoW......but now WoW is stale (finished toon with all epic and nothing left to do). I decided to come back and work my jedi to full temp. It seems like a lot has changed. Thankfully some for the better. I left Pre-CU and to be quite honest, I don't mind the CU (only been back a week now so I'm a little fresh). I for one don't miss the long Doc buff lines and having to solo grind my jedi. The new grouping is nice and keeps the grinding from getting too terribly boring and not having to be buffed to hunt is a nice change.
I was however surpirsed by some of the things I've read on the boards (as I've been reading them to figure what the hell I've missed all these months). No FRS and no Prem. pearls..... Well, I posted to mainly to ask a few questions:
1. How is RoTW? I haven't read much about it. Is the content fun for a jedi (as this is my main toon, despite what the boards say about how this should not be the case).
2. Also, is MP a viable option now? It was completely broken when I left.
3. MLS used to nearly be required to compete in PVP. Is this still the case?
Well, good to be back, for those of you on Bloodfin, looking forward to catching up with you all.

Ecuto, I am also returning to SWG after getting sick of WoW. I am also trying to learn the new system (been back in SWG for 2 weeks now after leaving close to a year ago. I would like to know about whats been going on in SWG since I left.

Yeah, I guess the nice thing is that the new CU plays a bit like WoW. So it wasn't too hard to figure things out. However, seems like there have been a significant number of changes made to jedi. It's been so long since I left it's difficult to track down all the changes.

to answer you question about master powers, its viable but you have to know what your doing and your not gonna win much 1vs1 jedi fights with it (many powers users state they do very well but i think the majority agree with me). Also as far as MLS goes you will probably notice that you can do any lightsaber specials with any saber equipped so many people now are taking only 0404 to get power attack, head hit and armor break. Still a ton of MLS but its not a "requirement" anymore. Anyway I hope that answers some of you questions.

Thx brakor. Yeah, that does answer some of my questions. I still have a token respec so I'm grinding a good bit of jedi xp, training then respecc'ing. I think that'll save me a good bit of grinding. I also just read about the Grievous mission on Kashyyk. Sounds like a good time. Wouldn't mind getting Bane's Heart. I may go ahead and pick it up.

Glad I could help. Totally forgot to mention kash, it is pretty fun until you run out of things to do there. Lots of good quest rewards as compared to what your used to with all the old quests (getting something completly worthless like "an old podracer hat"). Even if you can't use a lot of it you can make some pretty decent coin selling the rewards on your galaxies trade forum. Have fun out there!
