Tiggs said a day or so ago that she was told the weaponsmith buff does effect saber crafting. I'll try to dig up the post and link it from dev tracker in a bit.

I'm not sure the weaponsmith bonus is working tbh as I didnt notice any shift in stats for a newly crafted saber compared to one craftedpre-pub 23 - the weaponsmith buff says it should give a 2% buff to resource quality but my own testing and that of some of my friends finds this to not be true. What have others found?

The 2% bonus isn't being applied to saber resources.

The 2% bonus isn't being applied to saber resources.
But am I right in thinking it should be cos this is certainly what it says in the tooltip when you hover above the buff icon - and was also implied by Tiggs' comment that "Jedi will still get a weaponsmith buff and reap the benefits"

Yes we should get full benefit of the WS buff.

it is not working, I believe.
I was able to attain amazing successes at least 60% of the time with the old entertainer buff. I now, with the new weaponsmith buff, have yet to attain a single amazing success at all.
I crafted a saber with and without the new buffs and ended up with the same range in stats. pluses and minuses on both sides, of course, but pretty much no difference at all.
so imo the new buffs are not working for jedi.
