i actually find FA better than improved FA, might not give as much mitigation, but the FC is lower, so doesnt hit the force pool too hard

basic FA = +2000 innate
imp = +4000 innate
improvesd costs you 150 force to activate (30 min timer) and costs you 8 force for 100 damage absorbed not sure on the cost values for basic FA but i know its higher - only seems more efficient as it absorbs less damage

Do you take less damage with Improved or is it just a timer difference?

Aura will make them miss you, armor will absorb a decent part of the damage.

Force armor = more FC, less protection.
Improved FA = Less FC, More protection.

uhm im not all sure but from what i hear force armor drains your force a lot more than improved force armor.
