It will be all for nothing 
'tis a sad day when someone who has been in game a long time and done the hard work to get to a high point end up on the same billing as the newbie just seeing this for the first time, I have already heard (read) over guild chat that people will most likely be leaving or have already canceled.
Granted Iam not a power gamer and just had to get to the top level as fast as I can just to say I did, I took my time and the last few weeks I had went full bore to get it completed finally and now I get it all thrown back in my face.

At least you can unlock the 2nd toon before the change, lots of people will not be able too and will quite likely get frustrated with the single track professions.

Unlock your jedi!
for nothing else...the extra slot...create a toon on that extra slot!!!!
Also keep your CL at 80! so far from what we have been told the respec is based on CL...so a full template jedi of 80 = a paddy with normal professions of CL 80.

I was VERY happy to hear that current jedi get to keep the 2nd slot...

Yeah the second slot might be something to shoot for now, I will be waiting for the old man to show once again and then go through the paddy trials, hopefully I will be able to get it all done before the change hits 
I am glad you guys are still keeping a stiff upper lip and seeing the good, makes me feel a bit better about it all.
