I've been hearing lately that the way Defense modifers are counted is currently bugged. In theory, the system should be:

Melee Defense = Defense against attacks from melee weapons.

Ranged Defense = Defense against attacks from ranged weapons.

But that the sytem is actually:

Melee Defense = Defense while holding Melee weapon.

Ranged Defense = Defense while holding Ranged weapon.

So I ask, what is the current state of Defense modifiers?
