Thread: Jedi want the game to succed!
We Jedi have a more vested interest in seeing this game be a success than any one else in that we have more time invested in it than most, if not all, other players. We are the veterans of the game with multiple toons and multiple accounts in many cases. Please fix our broken profession and make us once again thegoalof virtually every player in the game, that being, the most advanced profession in the game. Here are my suggestions:
1) Get rid of forced PvP. This is the source of too much ill will, grief, and bitterness in the game. Do away with it or make it voluntary (like SF).
2) Give us our 1.5X any other prof:
a) Bring back prem/flawless pearls and make them not easy, but possible to obtain and in large enough quantities that wewon't be forced tobuy them.
b) Do something about this latest change (snare/root & SL). It's a game breaker IMO.
c) Fix the speed and accuracy bugs, reduce the force, mind, action costs as needed (thank you for fixing regen)
3) Give us Jedi only content:
a) Bring back the FRS and the ability to advance. Bring back the old one until you have a new one ready. Those of us qualified for the knight trials are angry that we can not become knights...as we deserve to be able to. At least re-enable the knight trials so we can get our knight tags.
b) Take us out of the GCW. If we are 1.5x other profs, then we ought not to be able to fight non-Jedi, it's not fair to them and only makes thembitterleading to muchill will in the game.
4) Restore our individual professions:
a) AI, Cloak, Healer, Dervish, etc. Make the master boxes worth having again.
b) Give us a little more sp. Now that dual mastery is almost a must, give us enough sp to get healing 4000 andenhancer 3000 or 0002as well.
c) Better yet, consider allowing us to train in all the Jedi skills. Why limit us? Remove us from the GCW, and forced PvP like I said and let us continue to develop our Jedi toons to the max. Hey, we can only execute one special at a time. Let us have fun learning and using all the skills, if we've a mind to grind them.
5) Here's one that not all will agree with. Make it take longer to get a Jedi. Make the prize worth having, but make it harder to get.
a) How about making it take longer tobecome FS. It's silly that you can get FS ina few days (including master prof badge). How about making it take at least a couple of months. Maybe the old man takes a month to visit you rather than 24 hours (something to stretch it out). Add more Sith quests and space them out over time. This adds interest and still adds to the time line thus gating Jedi.
b) Find ways toimprove thevillage. Grinding xp is boring and mindless. I would enjoy quests that build on each other forming one continuous quest. You will still need a time element (grinding) to act as a gate. It would just be nice if there were something more cerebral as well.
c) Institute the Master/Paddy system to make the process of becoming a knight more interesting. More quests, less grinding.
I have suggestions about the normal profs too, but will defer them to other threads. Also, please don't flame me for my suggestions about extending the time required to get a Jedi. It should take longer than 20 weeks. And,yes I'm almost a full template. I should have been ranked by now (I unlocked paddy in April of this year). I left when the CU hit because I couldn't grind my paddy. Please don't make me leave again because I can't play my Jedi or becomes worthless to try and doso.
