Thread: Complain Much?

Why does it seem that out of all the proffession boards, Jedi complain the most out of them all? Lets see here...
1. You guys have an easier grind pre-9 or pre-CU
2. You don't need any saber anymore to do something or even master.
3. More variety in the whole population.
4. More Jedi have been using stradegy in PvP or PvE.
Yet alot of the people call nerf on their own proffession? Seems to me that Jedi are the only proffession that looses by some one else and then begins to complain about it, forums got even worse with CU-Jedi.

Its pretty obvious, there are 5 tree's to jedi, each jedi can have a max of2 masterys and 2 branches in a 2nd tree, can you imagine what would happen if say bh had 5 tree's for offence, crowd control, defence healing and then offence again, and 1 offence tree was severly borked, the other offence tree was based purely on looted guns which dropped with lousy stats, the defence tree was a must to get atleast1 branch in it to get 3000 armor and a mastery was needed to get 7000 like all other profs get, the "crowd control" tree only had 1 snare and 1 root. and you had to master to get a daze. and the healing tree let you heal for the same mindcost but 300 points less than someone with less sp spent, and they could heal 2x faster than you? and then they pitted these people against eachother.

i still ground out my jedi pre cu, with the xp loss on PvE deaths, got vis from everything, got ganked by teams of bhs, and i dont like the fact that my reward and the reward of the people who did jedi pre cu got removed because the newer jedi had all the risk removed by complaining.

Still no sabers leave you gimped simply because powers have a piteful damage vs other jedi.
3. More variety in the whole population.
Not really i hardly know any jedi who dont have aura or force armor or healer or atleast 1 tree in def, the templates just got strenched more, pre cu i could do just fine as m.ls/mhealer/4-0-0-4 enhancer, now with that template i would get killed in 4 hits, removing the defences from lightsaber was a big mistake because it forced jedi to either get : atleast x-x-4-x def, x-4-x-x enhancer.
4. More Jedi have been using stradegy in PvP or PvE.
Not really i dont consider strategy using only armor break, saberhit, headhit and bodyhit at m.ls, i dont consider having to root and snare melee and saberthrow them for 50 minutes while on fr1 strategy, jedi are a melee proffession we should be able to stand toe to toe with melee without getting r@ped in 8 hits if youre not m.def.

Lol, of course, Jedi accuse someone who makes a remark on someone, that's NOT A BH, so how about you say something usefull, rather then pointless. I was a Jedi pre-CU, so I know all about the grind, and trust me, Cu-Jedi have it easier.

And you seriously think that by adding another "complaint" that you're helping anything?

I try to refrain from "strong" words, but you are down right stupid. Did a donkey kick you in the face as a child? Your original post is anything but "usefull". So please save me the heart ache and shut the **edit** up.

Yep our grind is easier then it was....but a) So is everyone elses... and b) ours is still more difficult than other profs which can regularly best us. Its pretty fair to say the jedi grind is longer by a factor of 10 at least.

Um your abolutely right as long as I want to sit in my house and chat on guild chat I don't need a saber. If however I want to venture outside and actually interact with the game...I need a saber and some investment in saber skill boxes and realistically I need a saber which does over 600 max damage...Which is still 400 less then my carbine wielding Alt does..

Actually um No...since we want to be effective and be able to do something otherthen sit in our houses and their are only about 5 or six different viable templates which shift slightly whenever SOE change something...

No, more jedi have had to adopt more effective stratagies then just charging in and killing stuff...Now conversely as a BH/CM template you can once you understand it charge straight in and kill jedi...

Do you play a Jedi? I have only invested the time it took to do the village and associated grind. After having a padawan for a little over a month I am already frustrated by the Bugs and enforced nerfs....I can take changes to the skill trees thats part and parcel of a developing game. Our weapons are dependent on loot to be effective and the loot is withheld from us that is unfair since it has been turned off since CU. Thespeed bug which prevents ourspeed Ca's from working..Imagine then if you had spend most of the last 2 years as a jedi player you could be forgiven for going a little postal.
You are absolutely right that Jedi whine, but like a number of other profs who are also broken we have a right too. SOE are failing their customers but no-one is surprised by that....Worse then that tho they have soured the concept of Jedi for many people by diluting SWG Jedi to the point where they have little or nothing in common with their on-screen counter parts which is a poor show when you consider the game is effectively a movie licence.
