Thanks to DarthVillanus for pointing out and shutting down this issue before it got out of hand yet again. I decided to post this since people tend to ignore the threads in the middle of a post.

"Man all these new, noob jedi are making us other jedi look stupid. PSG's are meant to beresistance to LS. Go back and read the Friday Feature about the jedi revamp. Thunderheart says precisely "All armor is vulnerable to lightsaber, with the exception of Personal Shield Generators."

The fact that psg's don't have LS resist or that they lose the LS resist after server shutdown is the only bug here.

Here's the link to the Friday feature

Scroll down to the "What is the new lightsaber dmg type" section."

And to all those jedi out there now saying its still a griefing tactic and should be taken out til combat rebalance I have this to say. Suck it up son. Alot of tactics out there are grief tactics and I have seen jedi more then happy to use them. Like incapping til death on players and the group tef. Both of which I had pulled on my by a jedi KNIGHT last week. No armor and no buffs. Carrying a carbine and the jedi still is scared so much of me he had to group tef and incap me three times.

You guys will not be happy til jedi have absolutely No xp loss and can kill everything in this game in one hit. All self interest. Every single time someone manages to best you, we get 100 posts onhow awful it is. Sheesh. I remember when I had to hide while leveling my jedi. Now once you get up to a certain point there is only one or two templates that can best. OH DEAR NO!!!! Nothing should best us right? We should be able to highlight any player, npc. or mob in this game and type /kill and they fall over dead right?

Here is what I think. I think all jedi should go back to the way it was before. Lets see them complain when they die and have to start over from the ground up. Lets see how they feel not being able to trust anyone, even their closest friends. Lets see how they feel about having to hunt in the most remote areas of planets and still having to watch every single thing around them, running at the slightest site of a blue or purple dot on the radar. Gauruntee you this. Live like that for a few months and you will fething cherish what you got now even with the problems.

The fact that it was harder before is unquestionable, because as long as you had the TEF anybody friend or not was able to attack you. The problem now though and reason for the complains I believe is that SOE said and Im going to use examples, "This works like this" and it simply doesn't, and that holds true to many things that SOE said. If atleast the things worked as intended then I would totaly agree that it was harder before, but since everyday now we discover new bugs and those based on us dieing I cannot say that this is easier, it is harder, why because the element of surprise is beyond any point acceptable. To hope that the BH lost his TEF after he killed you only to find out he dint and kills you again makes the game for jedi harder.

Until they fix things, I do agree that Jedi is unplayable without the element of surpirse death from bugs. Otherwise sure you can load the game up every day and play but you dont know if youll die or not, your basically gambling with your time.

i dont kow about the TH post (i take them like dice rolls, you rolllucky sevens sometimes and they are actually true, but more often than not, you roll snake-eyes or crap out)

anyway, what i was told and what i experienced is that, and i quote "THEre os no such thing as lightsaber resistance" and that if a psg says it has it, it is a bug and wont block a thing. I noticed in my fights with jedi that my ls resistant psg, the one i popped from the crate that still hals resistance on it, reduced nothing at all as far as damage is concerned.

TBH, I don't think whether they are or aren't working as intended is important. The fact is shield generators should resist lightsaber damage, but lightsaber damage is so gimped this shouldn't be possible till the combat revamp for the sake of balance. I'm sorry if all you whiney non jedi disagree, but a 6 month template should be able to wipe the floor with a 2 day template 1 on 1. Of course I'll be happy for shield generators to work against lightsabers once the revamp is in place. It makes good sense.

I just had to laugh at this........at the moment blue dot, purple dot, any dot I'm running in fear. That's right, as an imp I've been hunted by more imps than rebels. Trust me, I'd take the whole level on a planet in remote areas as long as I know a person can't zero in on me every 15 seconds. You say it was hard, how is that possible when the tef would wear off in a matter of what 5-15 mins.....I have to wait 3 weeks for my current tef to wear off. Lets see, you sneeze and get on the terms in this system however in the old you would have to be an @ssclown to get on them. Oh but a BH could track you too (if they got past all the bugs they experienced back then), seeing how you got a certain amount of deaths each week, sounds cool to me. Lets not forget your visiblity wears off in a couple hours of afk house. There is nothing you can say short of perma death to my main that will convince me your other systems were even close this current problem. Infact, if we were to remove the insane BH missions completely from the game I would agree on perma-death....at least I know I could play in peace unless I was a dumb **edited**.

This whole system is fubar and looking back to the glory days of Jedi only makes me wish I had opened my slot earlier to experience Jedi without KNOWING I was going to die every 15-30 mins if I was not in a safe house.

While your at it look at the part about robes. Obviously that hasn't changed either. I repeat. Yup, thought so.

i could show you links that say robes will have armor....links that say bh death penalties were intended to stop bh/jedi exploits, nto really hurt the jedi...

I could show you tons and tons of promises and statements and lies, like bh tef will clear upon jedi death, and all other sorts of things which would be cool if they actually work.....

This just points out that they said it, but if you were around a few months ago sending in CS tickets and complaining here about your PSG not blocking anything even when freshly popped with the ls resistance still on it, then you would understand that the devs change the things they say with the frequency of the way they change rolls of toiler paper (i.e. whenever they pull something out of their arse) and that you can only believe a dev's post as far as you can prove what they say to be true ingameand only until they post something on the same topic again, which more often than not is different from the original post. See this whole visibility fiasco for examples of this. First "Except allied pc's" Then "1/4 for allied pc's"
