I read a post stating, "if you have a melee weapon equiped the only defense stats that matters is your melee defense and it will be applied to both incoming melee and range attack, and if u have a range weapon equipedthat only your ranged defense stat applies to incoming range and melee attacks."

If that is true what stats apply to a masterpowers jedi with a lightsaber in his hand sincepowers are considered range attacksand of course lightsaber is melee.

Again if the first paragraph is true what use is force ranged defense if range defense only applies if you have a range weapon equiped.

Please let me know if any/all of this is true/makes sense.
