Kendall’s collaboration of jedi ideas with a few of my own.

This is compiled from many ideas I’ve read from these boards, and I think it answers a lot of the problems and will fix a lot of the complaints I see.

New Jedi System:

Keep everything the way it is, except when you finish the village IE your 6 branches unlocked and grinding, you are now FS.Now jedi who have already unlocked must show you the path to becoming a jedi, you are now someone’s padawan, this is chosen from lets say 100 random jedi, that changes from jedi to jedi until a jedi finds you passing in a starport etc… I.E. You feel a tingle of the force coming from (insert name here)This Jedi now decides to take you as a padawan. He teaches you the skill you need to create your first lightsaber etc..He also will be your trainer who can train you in any skill you want depending on your template even if he doesn’t have the skill (this allows diversity)

The Jedi who takes you on needs Apprenticeship points in order to continue a form of alternate advancement, which can be implemented in game. Both the padawan and jedi benefit from things such as…An experience bonus, additional protection from bounty hunters (no real thoughts on this except maybe something like the padawan can meditate during the fight if his master is being attacked allowing him to channel force to his master which allows for a “slight” increase in force regeneration although this can be done in any form.)I.E.when you are with your padawan previous nerfs to powers etc.. No longer apply as long as you are “grouped” with your padawan example … No snare to cloak which is coming soon or other various things. This also encourages grouping but doesn’t make it required for the solo player.

This also allows for greater roleplaying as well as alternate advancements and experience bonus for people who just love to grind out new templates which I feel makes this system serve to the needs of everyone from star wars fans, to pvp’s, to I need BH protection people, while also correcting a need for the system to be changed. This also adds atremendous amount of contentEx..You are an IMP who’s been assigned a Rebel padawan you try to turn him to the darkside and added bonus for doing so and vice versa for rebel to imp padawans.Or you can get a master or padawan of your own faction if you don’t want to deal with it and still get the bonus but let there be a slightly greater reward for turning your padawan to your side.

Also for people who like PVP when it’s time for your padawan to move on to master he must demonstrate his abilities to his master I.E. a duel if you are a hardcore PVPer you might do your best to keep your padawan from beating you this also allows you to train your padawan in a pvp fashion which may give him skills he might need later. If that’s not for you you might just allow your padawan to leave you i.e. forfeiting the duel or letting him beat you..(This could be the imperial jedi path)The lightside jedi might have to do something different or it could be the same for everyone. At any time a jedi can find a new padawan or leave their current master in order to keep from holding up one another but you will be forced to find new people in order to continue advancement although you lose no previous exp just the bonus from losing your master/padawan.I honestly think that what I’ve put together will work and make the game more enjoyable for both, in the forms of alternate advancement I”ve mentioned above you can add permanent changes to jedi who have unlocked, and I really think the best way to implement it is through the padawan/mentoring system the best reward for this would be to remove previous nerfs made to jedi as mentioned before you get exp that allows you to put towards things such as Added damage to force powers, no snare when cloaked, or remove snare to AI, added damage to lightsaber attacks, an increased force bar the possibilities are endless and I hope that everyone who reads this will have something positive to say about it.

I feel this also gives full temp jedi something to continue grinding for.

no one likes this?

Either I'm too impatient to be real jedi, or everyone would much rather think of problems to things, then try to come up with solutions
