I will start off by saying that there are defintely bugs in the system. I don't think anyone doubts that, although many lately may feel that is a major understatement. However, everyone likes to post about customer service in real life, and what not, and that SOE doesn't care. I'm not sure whether SOE does care, or does not care. What I do know is that in the real world, when a customer is angry, rude, threatening and disrespectful...that the customer of this type is RARELY taken care of. The customer of this type is usually told to take their business elsewhere, as what business want's a loud, annoying, negative customer always bringing negativity to the workplace and into the presence of other customers? The answer, none. The dissatisfied customers who are treated appropriately are those that bring a problem to light in a productive manner and then logically and respectfully discuss the issues at hand. In the real world, a person screaming into the telephone is typically told that they will not receive consideration of anything until they calm down and call back at a later time when they are able to speak rationally. Should the person continue to rant, they are typicaly told to call back when they have calmed down and then they are hung up on. In person, the same applies, but the person is asked to leave the premise until they have calmed down. Should they refuse, then the business typically contacts the local police department to escort the person from the premise.
The best way to address the issues that trouble you are to submit a respectful bug report as many people do. Now be honest, if you had to read bug reports, would you pay attention to the one ranting that the world is ending or would you pay attention to the one that was submmitted in a professional manner and in accordance with the appropriate format?
A lot of people like to rant that this is America and they can say what they think since they are dissatisfied with the current product. But let me point out two things. 1) This is a private service and your "Constitutional Rights" do not exist as they would in a public, government sanctioned situation (which has been previously pointed out by members and SOE). 2) Do you really think the founding fathers that granted you these same rights were ranting about negative things the entire time? If you do think this, then check out a history book from the library. Yes, they had disagreements setting up the government, but they constructively addresssed these issues by discussing them and not by yelling and being disrespectful. More can always be accomplished by being respectful than by being disrepectful. Respect is earned, and is not granted to you by anyone. The present attacks by both sides only cause the current distrust to grow wider. Try being respectful when you (members and SOE) are discussing something so that trust can once again be forged and more things can be accomplished. Teams that work together accomplish much more than the individuals working against each other.
All the bickering has gone on long enough, but it needs to stop so that the issues at hand can be discussed and addressed. Face it, the CU has come and is staying, so why not adapt to the new system and make the most of it? Should you not like it, then go elsewhere...that is a choice and right that you will always have. Those that are making the most of it, don't care for the constant negativity.
Guess I finally had enough of all the immature and unproductive ranting that has been taking place. And for those who have been ranting, you can't possibly feel that your ranting has made anything better. If that was the case, the system would be pre-CU now. But it is NOT, therefore the ranting has PROVEN to not be affective. Those still ranting are either frustrated, which I can understand, or just people with no lives that have nothing better to do than be negative and cry foul.

MD, you are correct with your statement on rudeness= nonresponsiveness to our concerns. All though, the current situation of fervant and inflammitory remarks concerning the Devs/Customer service is, I feel, the result of the history of them not listening to their customers in the first place before patches are placed live, not listening to our corrospondents, and their complete disrespect by placing game mechanics in game that are so overpowering that the player cannot fairly combat the other player, ranged vs. melee. There has not been any comment from the Devs except reiteration of the rules of the forums and that they will ban us. As I look at it, they would be doing us a favor by making it easier to leave a game I have loved to play for the past 2 yrs.

I don't dispute any arguments that SOE has not listened in the past, nor do I support them...as I've only played for approxiamtely 8 months. However, the pot has reached a boiling point and one of two things will result. 1) The pot will boil until there is nothing left inside or 2) the pot will be pulled away from the burner, permitted to cool and then the correct ingredients can be added.
What I'm saying, is the pot needs to be removed from the burner and we need to get back to working WITH each other and not AGAINST each other. The present attitudes by both sides are not helping anything here. If you worked for SOE and people were constantly being disrespectful and nasty to you, would you want to help the players? Shoot, today's world basically encourages retaliation by the other side which only keeps fueling the fire. The present attitudes are NOT the way to resolve the issues. People need to learn to be respsectful and professional, even if you remain distrustful. As this is how trust is built. Look at the US & China, the two remaining superpowers in the world. They are becoming more professional and respectful of each other and are starting to get things done (although small things), even though neither side fully trusts the other. So why can't the players and SOE address the issues in a similar manner? There is no reason why everyone can't, other than some people know of know other way to act in a mature and respectful manner.
