To QFE from another thread, the Devs and SOE made Jedi as of post pub 9 the big marketing poiint of the game but has that in turn now begun to kill the game and this buisness (Not Sony, SWG)

Are you kidding me? Hell my boys see me playing this and they always ask "Daddy are you a Jedi?" This has more appeal to the 12-18 age group than any other game on the planet. Not to mention that the majority of players don't use the forums or read them and just play the game. Now with all the media hype between Ep.3 on DVD and the release of ToOW and the earlier media blitz of the "Total Experience", more and more will come in droves. All the while they will be oblivious to the problems and inner workings of the game as long as some day through constant play they may be able to wield a glowstick.

"We go out and say, 'you know what, we want more of those players, we want that 3.5 million from that game over there.' So instead of sticking to the thing that our players really love, we start changing it. And now we're alienating the players playing our game, losing our subscribers."- Jeff Hickman
