you want to know the reasons for the nerfs, unbalanced profs, etc...? actually, its very easy to figure out.
Lets talk about game content. Maybe the new planet will be cool, but for now, content is weak, including wookieworld, which gets old fast. What else is there to do? There is RP, but that is a small part of the populations. There is pvp, which also gets old after a while, exp when you pretty much know who will win before it starts.
With this all in mind, what is there left to do? The answer is nothing, and the devs know it. Peeps would do their quests/pvp and get sick of it and stop paying their 14. In order to keep this from happening, they do changes and nerfs, which force you to quit your quests/pvp before it gets too old, and grind out a few template, which takes up time. Once you have the new template, you will have fun trying out your new stuff and go back to the quests/pvp. Before it gets too old for ya, the devs with do another change/nerf. See the "rinse and repeat" pattern?
Therefore, if it wasnt for nerfs, most of us would not still be playing swg. How F'd up is this theory????

I would go light jedi if you guys really do rp alot. Im sick of just mindlessly killing things with no content and no rping fun. Heck, to m e these games were made to expand our rping.

It seems like a sound business strategy to me - keep people on the merry-go-'round of template changing. It's a depressing thought though, that we are being manipulated in this way...

If this is really the idea behind balancing / over-balancing / nerfing / whatever, somebody needs to realize that people dont like seeing the skills they spent time to acquire nerfed. Its like being robbed. I suggest this read here.
