Thread: Pearl and Crystal Space Tuning Stats

This post is neither a flame nor a rave. I am simply presenting the facts of my experience tuning "Quality" crystals and "Good" pearls in space. Below are some basic descriptive statistics for my test of tuning a bag or so full of crystals and pearls in my space yacht, above Lok. Other considerations that might be relevant: I am a full temp post-CU Jedi andmy PVP is 1380.
Caveat: Central limit theorem tells us that 30 observations are the minimum quota for truly seeing a normal distribution of results. Unfortunately I am a few observations shy of this quota for each tune type. However it is close enough to provide a directional understanding of what one can expect when farming crystals and pearls, or paying 1million creds on a vendor.

My good friend tuned 50 in space and got very similar results, although I did not run the statistics on her bag of tunes. Lastly, no single pearl of crystal tuned for a "best" value in more than one category. Meaning the best Pearl was not a 99/-.23/-7. Those are just the best values in each category across all tunes (Max & Min of the values across the distribution).
I believe the results suggest that space tuning is no different, on average, than tuning on terra firma.

You need to swap your FC values if you are going to use terms like "Best" and "Worst".
