Thread: Knockdown+LAG=Alive BH

Where to start. Gorath is quite Laggy today, we've all been there, and as expecteda BH attacks. Good, i've been itching for one. We fight on Rori, hill's, andall that stuff to use. I don't have alot of Terrain Neg, and NO Force Run. So I make due, I make him come to me.... we fight, and fight, and keep fighting. And TWICE during the battle I should have had him. Had Armor Break on and had half his health down to half when I knocked him down. Welp.....would'nt you know. He slid for 30 meters. "OUT OF RANGE" I see, andI saber throw and he's up, healed, and ready for more. This happend more then once, I should have had him, yet the LAGG Monster has taken pitty on the BH and saves him time and again. So I lead him out of town, what kill he crak's his snare off and my Burst Run is ready. I run, hop on a shuttle, and leave. I don't feel bad in the least. I feel justified since I, ME, was the one who truly was robbed. Gorath is'nt a heavily populated server, I find myself questioning. "Can lag be fixed?" "What Causes Lag". Answer from what I hear is YES, and the cause could be any number of things. But IT CAN BE FIXED SO FIX IT! Take it as it is, I feel as if those with Melee Temps are getting the thick end of the stick.

This goes both ways. It's a server issue and the BH that lose DBs to this same problem feel just as bad as you.

I agree that it goes both ways, but it does clearly not effect the Ranged temps as much as the Melee temps

Yeah I have alot of trouble killing cm/bhs because of this. They know it and use that tactic specifically for that reason too.

Yeah, had the same thing happen to me. At least half to two thirds of my attacks would give the -Too Far- message although on screen he was showing as 2-3m away. I was on Lok and FPS was ok but clearly server lag was happening. Whenever I knocked down he would slide 30m away. Very frustrating. After this encounter I went and bought the best Advanced Laser Rifle I could find and some deuturium pyro so I can at least deal some damage next time lag gets me. Anyone else have some better solutions or tactics to employ to get around this problem ?
