I think they should move force meditate to padawan and give enhancer improved and advanced meditate. Any one else get bored of the force regen every now and then?

Yep, you should get a watered down FR, a watered down Channel, and a watered down Meditate at novice. Then as you progress through Enhancer you get more powerful versions. Similar to TK...

Or if you want a skill get the boxes. Nothing should be moved to padawan or initiate box.

From reading of the expanded universe books, I would agree that Paddies should get at least a version of force meditate.

Channel and Transfer, no. Earn the boxes.

Agreed but Jedi should have innate abilties just like every other profession. TK has Meditate and basic unarmed, marksman has basic speed and accuracy, etc. etc. etc.

Managing Force shouldn't be a 'skill', it should be an ability that grows like speed and accuracy. For instance a Novice Enhancer could have +5 channel and as you fill in boxes it could increase your 'channel' ability. Just like in LightSaber you get +X speed and +X accuracy for each type of saber. As you progress through saber you get mods to better your ability.

What would be really cool is if they did the same for cloak. At novice you can just make yourself a little bit pasty. Then you can go sem-transparent, then all wavy like, until finally you are completely invisible.

An earlier post was calling for force cloak to be moved to the Padawan force progressoin box. I do not agree with that, but force meditate, yes I would agree. At least a watered down version. Say it drops off after a certain amount of force pool is reached.

Lets move every single ability to initiate and have mods for it then.

Yeah, that's really not the same thing. Certain abilities should be innate to each discipline and certain ones shouldn't. There's a difference between a skill such as Saber Sweep and an ability such as Meditate. Ever do TK? You have a Meditate mod as you progress. See?

There was a really good proposal once in the Pistoleer forums on making duel wield an ability like this instead of a skill slapped in the Master Box. Instead of giving Pistoleers dual pistols at Master they were talking about having duel wield be an ability for which you could get mods for.

Also, when you make something an ability then you open up the possibility of CAs. Having a Force Meditate +2 CA would make sense. Having a Force Heal CA makes sense. Having a Force Channel CA makes sense. Having a FR CA makes sense. Having a SaberDervish CA doesn't... See the difference?

I would like to have a version at Padawan. Maybe the Padawan version could give you increased regen when you are in the meditative state, and an Improved Meditate for Enhancers that regen while in state and leave an enhanced regen rate as a timed enhancement.

That way paddies that are grinding can regen, but they will have no advantage while in combat of any kind.
