Sorry if it's a stupid question..but what are the benefits of each type of saber, if any? Thanks.

No benifits at all if you are going MLS. Else the abilites from some lines are better then others. For example the 2handed line x4xx for Armor Break is most usefull now.

That might be the answer if you would have asked about the diciplin.

So, there is now diffrence between the diffrent sabers. No damage nor speed diffrence.

The 1handed animations looks best though, what I think.

Ok, so it's all based on looks then?

Based on looks only if ur going to be MLS. The 2handed saber row (0400) gives you Advanced Armor Break, that lowers an opponenets armor proficience by 65% or so i believe. Thats the only way you can really beat someone with 7500 energy armor.

That is correct. The sabers themselves are all identical in stats when crafted, which I think is a good thing. Before(pre-cu) it used to be that if you "really" wanted to compete, you had to use a double-bladed saber, just because it did a bit more damage than the two other versions.(Can anyone remember what the difference was? I keep thinking it was something around 50 points, but it might be my memory playing tricks on me)

The 1handed was doing Mind Damage though. And we do know how mind was easy target on most players pre-cu. Am I wrong?

Armor Break is useless right now against Elite's... I says go MLS, and then when they fix speed use One-Handed as for they get 40 Skill od Diffrence in Speed then Double Bladed or Two-Handed if your MLS, like... Two-Handed and Double Bladed gets... 100 Mod skill in Speed and 14 in Acc, One-Handed gets 140 in speed and 100 in Acc... Sadly Speed doesnt work soo One-Handed useless... or at least not genius to use, but when they fix speed MESA is going to use only one-Handed... MLS+Force Speed 2 which I have both will make me a deadly machine rofl!

Not all attacks did 'mind damage' , but the pre CU 1h Saber line came with a head hit attack which could be used to target the mind pool. The equivalent attack with a polearm could target action, and the 2h targetted health.

Also the 1h Flurry2 attack was proper AE, whereas the polearm version was a cone.

Finally from memory the damage difference wasn't as high as 50 points. I seem to remember it being between 10-20, but I had more luck crafting a 47fc polearm than I did 2h. I can actually check when I next login though, as all my sabers have stupid pre CU names such as "4th Gen Polearm / 192-311 / 4.9 / 47fc" etc - it seemed like a good idea at the time, but it makes my combat spam look incredibly stupid now

I don't remember the exact difference either, but I do remember the end result being considerable in terms of end damage.

With a 1h you couldn't even hurt another jedi, with a polearm hurting each other became viable.
