Thread: how pre cu and post cu Jedi are different non flame post
just so you know i am a post cu jedi but could have easily had been a pre cu jedi. But to tell you the truth i would rather be both a pre cu and a post cu jedi. This post is to show only the differences. Not all are listed.
PRE CU
solo grind- forced
no need to find missions to get somewhat decent xp. Random spawns
skill lose
xp lose from any death
broken spawn points for grinding
during early days broken bh terminals and droids
more skills to use.
pre cu skills didn't seem to use as much force.
only two items to experiment on for saber building
bh groups and group tefs.
POST CU
3 items to experiment on for sabers
no really good tunes on post cu looted items
group grinding- more or less forced. you can grind solo but it will take 1year to a year and a half or more depending on game play.
no pve death xp lose
alot less skills to use- ie spin attack, body part hits.
slower combat due to cooldowns
more lag even though pre cu servers had more people
cloak
armor break
bh's resistent to armor break
less need for buffs
more need for food
IF I left any out please feel free to post.
p.s. i hope that you have a great day!!

uber buffs
90% comp armor
could use any weapon to grind (was fixed but stayed like this for a long time)
FR3 and Saberthrow (with bleed) stacked

Jedi was one profession. Everyone had the same skills. So, you'd not have the self-nerf calls that Jedi have today, but you suffered from a lack of diversity.

Pre-9 only had all the same skills. personally i dont see where it did not give you the possibility for diversity, since you could use the skills you wanted, you were not fforced to use lightning. P-9 was just a huge nerf basicly, taking awy the possibility to become a jedi master once again since FRS was impossible to upkeep, without the so called fight clubbing.
Might want to add BH's were weaker early on having to master both Marksman and Scout.
you forgot Pre-CU:
- Defense stacking TKM/BH's - only needed 3-0-0-0 BH to hunt Jedi...rest could be spent on other skill
- ADK'ed PSG's with LS resists
- Random spawns would run out until server resets
- Intimidate for the 50% damage reduction
- KD/Dizzy combos
- Lack of Jedi CA's or BE clothes max was melee def +4
pre cu:
FRS FRS FRS FRS lol
and whoa u dont think we used much force? 1 fight = whole force bar + holo sometimes...
One difference that made the most was the mere face we had respect back then, over time it got worse but patch 6/7/8/9 we had alot more.

Now people spit on Jedi at Star ports... so yeah...
*
Im going with respect.... for each other and we (get this) helped each other-- didnt cry nerf this or that..., imagine that concept
