I emailed LA about it... According to what the told me, it is a try out version of SWG. I plays offline, requires no connection or paid account, and doesnt have to update upon initial starup. It has like 3 worlds and 6 cities on each, and has like 40 missions. And once you complete it, it gives you the option to enroll into the real galaxy.
So its basically a way to tempt people to buy, and then trick them into signing up once they are hooked.

I actually think thats a great idea. I know many people would likea free(well not exactly but you get the picture) trial before they begin to subscribe. I know many friends of mine would like to play the game just from watching me play, but think that the monthly fee is too much. This would be a great way for people to try it out to see if they like it enough to pay the monthly fee or not.
