This was my first thought Cic.

Basically it went something like this:

CU is launched live. Mass cancelations ensued that day. SOE Execs paniced and went to the dev staff. Told them to fix it, change it whatever, but A) don't patch up this current version for 2 more years and B) don't role it back to the pre-cu status orthey'd look like utter morons. So they started work on the CU2 immediately. Meanwhile, they had teams working on ToOW knowing that it would keep vets around by enticing them with goodies and knowingly rip them off when the CU2 was announced. All the while keeping theiry subs in the dark and then, after ToOW is launched, EPIII comes out on DVD, Battlefront2 launches and SOE/LA is at their peak of media attentions, they drop this on us. Irreprehensible, yes. Unfortunately not much we can do about it. They proved that with JTL, RotW, every bad publish and hotfix that we told them not to run. *shrug.
