Thread: Proposal: Combine Powers and Enhancer

Now before you get on my case and flame me just understand that this would not work until the FRS came back
How it would work is you would have an Enhancements and Powers tree that had basic abilities such as a basic cloak, basic force runs, pushes, knockdowns, resistances, channel, and meditate.
Now for the kicker.
Depending on which FRS tree you went up (light/dark) it would depend on how your skills were enhanced in that tree.
Both sides would get enhancements to basic jedi abilities such as run, push, meditate, and channel.
Darkside would get earn bonus darkside specific offensive force powers/enhancements, such as your chokes, lightnings, etc
Lightside would gain access to lightside specific and more defensive force enhancements/powers, such as force buffs for defenses, stasis
It would have to be worked out so that both sides ended up getting near equal bonuses as they went up the trees, but personally I think powers should be powers, its in how you use them that makes the jedi light or dark.

NO.
Powers is more of an offense where enhancer is more of a well....enhancement

No,
We don't need more drastic changes, refining what we have and improving where improvement is needed, but not destroying all my hard work and effort in one foul nerf bat swoop.
I just want some status quo, so I know what boxes to bloomin well train in rather than having to regrind every 2 weeks as they nerf another skill etc

devs should work on fixing bugs before changing entire professions/disciplines

Using the Force is divided in Alter, Control and Sense.
Most of Force Wielder is Alter, the art of effecting your surroundings. Most of Enhancer is "Control", the art of controlling the force within your own body.Wave/Suppression/Stasis/Drain is ofcourse Alter.
Heal Self and A.Iis Control, Heal Other, Sap, Shock and Dominate Mind is Alter.
Some defensive powers such as Valor, Aura, Feedback belongs more to "Sense", the art of "knowing".
The Dark Side have always been stronger in the more offensive use of"Alter" while Light Side have always been stronger in "Control". But all Jedi know some of both. Sense is a highly underrepresented part of Jedi.
If any changes should be made to Jedi it needs to divide Jedi into Physical Training, Alter, Control and the addition of Sense.

I say just have 2 trees.
LS and a Force tree.
As padawans we would have the same abilities.
Starting at knight we would gain improved versions of certain skillsdepending on if we choose light side or dark.

I like the current diversety with templates,it would be boring if everyone had exact same template. I know there are some FOTM templates but its the odd templates that usually get me killed. Like Menhancers keeping me in stasis til 1-2 swordsmen pop up
