Thread: Is the ranged/melee defense broke or is it supposed to work that way?

For those of you who dont know, your type of defenses are dictated by the type of weapon you are using. Hence, if you have your saber equiped you get melee defenses. If you have a ranged weapon you get ranged defenses. Which is pretty stupid in my opionion. When we pvp against bh we are only getting melee defenses as he fires at us with a ranged weapon and gets what ever his armor is sliced defenses. Another unfair advantage against us. So, my question is...Is it supposed to be like this?

I assume it's broken. Otherwise the descriptions would read differently, and you wouldn't see mixed defenses across the various professions.
I wouldn't put it past them to say it's working as intended and moving on however.

Is this true, or is the description on the pica thundercloud? and vegasperine, (sp) backwards? I think defenses work but the foods work backwards.
