Since everbody loves to come to the forums to

  1. Whine and complain

  2. Tell other people how they should be playing thier characters

  3. Flame everybody they dont agree with.

  4. Insult Lucasarts, SOE and the DEVs

  5. Put in free promotionals for the games they think are better

  6. Argue about the past and present

  7. cry about why im not uber anymore

  8. should this go on im sure it would hit the hundreds

SOE should make a profit off all the grief and misery bantered around here, I move they charge and extra $5.00 a month for access to the forums. Then we can all pay for the privelage to doall these things we love to do here because it is obvious we dont use the forums as intended.

The Forums are here not only to help other players, but also give feedback to Developers. And that can often be translated into whining by some. It is still feedback, IF people keep it constructive.

Also, the best advocate for a profession is ourself. The one who know where the shoe sits. If there is some problems with our profession, we cant rely on SOE to fix it, unless we tell them theres a bug here, or we are too weak, compared to other bonuses. It will be SOEs business to evaluate that information we present them with - thru our correspondent - and if they find it acceptable and in need for fixing, they will bring us fixes, based on our experience.

You have to see everything in a new light. If you get weaker, thats no problem unless the negative features are removed.

And flaming is not allowed anywhere.

Simpler to create a 35th profession board...."jedi whiner". That way, anyone who wants the double pleasure of being a full temp jedi, dabbling with Novice whiner, can head there and vent their problems....while the non whiner jedi can get on with discussing tactics, foods, templates, ideas in this forum

Yes you are right but this is where the problem occurs. To much of the Fedback here is negative and not constructive.

That's the problem though. There are too many threads that are just a rant about facts that they know already. 100% of jedi would like to see a return to the FRS and a return of premiums. In fact, they have stated that both will be returning soon in direct statements to the playerbase. But even today, there are dozens of threads choking up the flow of useful discussion; threads like "VOTE IF YOU WANT FRS AND PREMIUMS BACK BY XMAS!!" and the other whine threads.

If you wake up and the weatherman says it's raining, do you see guys in the streets running around in T shrits getting wet shouting "OMFG **edit** IT'S RAINING?!?111!?"

When you have as many kids playing a game such as this there will ALWAYS be complaining and whining. They don't know any better. I would love to get more info from this forum also and used to be in favor of splitting the forums up into LS/Healer/Defender/Enh/Powers but I think this would divide us even more and we all know we do a great job of asking for nerfs against ourselves as it is. We are all Jedi and have a wide range of templates that cover all those but yet we still find ourselves calling for nerfs instead of offering creative solutions or just adjusting our play/strategy to compensate. No body should have a template that can beat 100% of the other templates out there. Everyone should have a weakness that can be taken advantage of by the right template which in turn will have a weakness to another template. I am not in favor of the FOTM but SOE the way they come up with solutions forces us into them by just nerfing instead of offering an alternative solution. Oh well never going to happen.....back to hunting Krayts.

Sounds like the few of you left who are deluded need a dose of the awful truth:

There certainly isn't much left to be constructive about regarding SWG. And even when constructive posts are made (The Master and Apprentice idea, countless pearl and robe fixes) they aren't even looked at by the Devs, much less replied to.

The only reason there are flames is because the development feeds the fire. For every whine, nerf, and rant, there is a constructive brainstorming thread with 50-100+ replies that has been ignored.

So why don't you wake up and see things for what they are. Think: Cause and Effect.

1. Whining it may be but when theres a problem it needs to be addressed.

2. Bugs are not being fixed fast enough, expansions are being pushed before game fundamentals are fixed.

3. They aren't listening to the constructive posts as I dont think they have taken any of the creative ideas and used them

4. They devs simply do not provide enough information. The player base is dying to hear information and we never get anything untill it hits the TC. I dont think this is making it more exciting, in fact when the bugs push through it just gets worse.

5. Have you looked at the In Concept forum lately? It's as if SOE has no plan. If they do have one please share it.

I could go on and on. Forums aren't like this for other games because those games receive the attention they deserve. The reason the forums are like this is because of the mess this game has become due to multiple core problems.

SWG is still fun to play and it's still one of my favorites but to use a metaphor here, SWG has become a completely tangled and knotted rope. So many things need to fixed and straightened out before its back to normal.
