Of course we have the common referral of Obi-Wan wearing Clone armor in Clone Wars.

He looked really cool in that armor too...but most likely if Jedi were allowed to wear armor the Defender will loose its job. (more or less)
I really wish I could sometimes thou...

should be all jedi wear them, or you have to give defenders a cloak device, a stasis gun etc

If I remember correctly, Jedi used to wear armor all the time. They were almost always seen in full composite armor Pre-CU (from what I saw) and the Devs made the change to inate armor so that Jedi wouldn't have to wear armor justto operate.

pre pub 9 Jedi had Comp armor, and it was taken away and then the 85% block was your armor. Heals had no cooldown timers, and the name of the fight was KD dizzy.

Of course there is vader too. Seemed to use choke quite nicely. But even with out the defender tree you have 20 innate jedi armor which would get negated. Of course you'd need to be a hybrid with a novice upper skill box to wear any armor besides faction nowadays.

heh, I've been here so long Pre-CU and Pre- pub 9 get mashed together sometimes. Problem is when you equip armor (even with proper certs) as a Jedi you loose the abiliy to use any force powers.

why only non defenders though?
In exchange for the inate armor(which is the equivalent to very nice non-decayable armor) and the defenses you don't get armor certs
. Think of it like tk, they get inate armor instead of an armor cert. Get an armor cert, well then no inate armor for you!
And you could easily make it like other profs, meaning if you have one piece of any armor on it overides your inate armor(meaning if you have a battle armor healmet on your inate armor not counted).
