Aight, for saying this I know i'll probly get flamed by the 12-15 year old jedi trolls so be it but it must be said.
All you jedi need to calm down about this "respec" to jedi. I eventualy wanted to be a jedi and I have been slowly working on it since I came 3 months ago from a 1 year break. Now I am being told that my Doc/Swordsman is going to be gone. So for all you people complaining about people respecing jedi just realize 21 professions are getting demolished, they gotta go somewhere. Yes i realize you have "worked" hard aka "mindlessly grinded" your jedi and yes it does take time. I realize that and know it is a sink to think that any newbie can **eventualy** become a jedi. Though in the system now anyone can **eventualy** become a jedi. People who didn't wanna be jedi's will probly not respec to one, and those on their way through the force village grind no matter how close they were to finishing it up to attempting to finish the padawan trials on time will probly respec to a jedi. This is a fact you will have to deal with, this is a new game, SOE is forcing 21 different profs to pick from 9. Not showing "Respect" for someone simply because they are a post CU2 jedi is kinda rude, specialy if they can hand you your ass in a basket. Not saying they would be able to but as i see it respect is earned and not one to prejudge on others. If this was the way they originaly planned it when you died you lost your jedi and the next person in line would unlock it until they died and lost their jedi. Limiting the jedi on servers to resemble the time frame we are in.

21 professions gone, 9 remaining. Atleast your still existant, please stop being posting stupid coments about respec. Realize that so many others are completely losing their profession. O, I forgot that so many jedi are little brats, pardon me. Let the flames begin cuz I know it will happen because trolls love to flame. Stop bitching and be happy you still exist.

Guess what? it sucks your profession got deleted, blame SOE for that part. do you think anyone here asked for this piece of **edit** change? NO. But you whiny ass pieces have been going on about, ohhhh ohh we don't want jedi in the game ohh boo f'ing hoo a jedi managed to kill something before me, oh god there are too many lightsaber and theed. hah guess what you hipocrit WE WIN, you have bowed down indefeat and became what you hated. pwned. thanks, someone get me some kool-aid.

Well i'm sorry you got screwed out of jedi, welcome to the club, you just got as fu'cked as the rest of us. my mind is far from little, i'm just rapping on the irony of these changes. all the people that didn't want to be jedi, the first chance they get tor espec into one.. BAM "Woooo i'm a jedi! wowowowowowowo!!OOWWO!OW1ow!OWWO!OW1owwooeno!own1ownoen!oneoenon!E1eo111!e!E1e!!!" or something of that sort. the profession would have been off being deleted, insted of being populated by a bunch of people that never wanted the class to begin with. thats my whole point, sorry your little mind wasn't able to comprehend that.

My mind is little for I am a computer engineer, though it's bigger than the software engineers at SOE 
Well aight, your ok, in my book it sucks im not a fan of these changes. Been playing Battlefront2 since release, where the best get to be jedi not everyone. And the all hero servers just suck. I only see that being how this might turn out to be.

a rock has more of a brain then anyone at SOE as far as i'm concerned, hahaha. i'm not a real fan of these changes, the combat system is alright, but thats all i like so far. i was playing battlefront 2 in beta (file planet subscribers only,that ruled heh). yeah all hero server does suck. and thats how it use to be, the best got jedi, not everyone. this system sucks, lol plain and simple. they should just make force sensitivity random.
Create a character and have a hidden possibilty to the force(not 100% like its going to be). but also have the ability to try learning it, but at a longer route. (this would be a mix of both the old system and the new one)

My main profession was Force Wielder. Its about 95% gone.
Honestly, all the 32 profs are gone. The new 9 may have preserved some of the names, but thats about where the resemblence ends.
*shrug*
We're all in about the same boat now, folks.

I totally sympathize with the fact that you're losing your template. But realize that most of us Jedi have alts that are also greatly effected by this change. My alt is a Master Swordsman and a Master CH. We're griping because Jedi is the hardest and most time consuming profession to achieve in the game. It just doesn't seem fair that anyone in game can suddenly have everything that we had to work so hard for by respecing. This is a Jedi's point-of-view, I understand, but this change messes us all up. I actually think this upgrade will help the game and fix a lot of problems. Bring on the new Jedi and we elders will try to make the best of it.
