Lucas Arts didnt like the way things were going with SWG and gave SOE an ultimatum, either do it our way or lose SWG.... Think about it. Why would SOE waste time coming up with the new squad leader stuff and then planning the new ranger revamp, to just give it all up for the NGE??? It all makes perfect sence.

Funny, but probably not close to being true. Lucus Arts had had thier mits in this game from day one. I don't care if it is SoE or Lucus, changing the combat system every 5 months is not going to destract everyone from a sloppy programmed game with little to do once you complete your template.

Exactly.. I cant believe they would waste resources ondoing the squad leader changes, CH revamp, just to throw it away a month later for a marketing strategy.. Imagine the hours of manpower wasted. Clearly someone has been working on the NGE for a long time because there are new space stations, tutorials, and voice actors involved in the NGE. While this was being made, SOE has been wasting time developing squad leader, CH and Ranger professions....... I do believe Lucas Arts has been developing the NGE on its own while SOE screwed up, then went to SOE and said """listen, things arent going well, do "this", or we pull the plug""".
No company would voluntarilywaste manpower and money in developing two different versions ofa game, at the same time..................
