...I don't know how you post-CU unlocks with MLS and no Pre-CU tunes do it. I KNOW there are many many many more people that have tuned many many many more than I have, but being Master Powers this is where I can call it quits on building a saber.

i personally have never spentany credit to pearls/crystals, instead i've looted them. i've tuned about 200 pearls/crystals premium/flawless till i got my 740 dmg close 800dps saber.

Pre-CU, I would have done the same and accumulated backpacks full or pearls/crystalsbut since I am not a part of one of the largestguilds on the server or becuase I cannot out damage anyone, I stand no chance of this being a scenrio for me. I got what I could inbetween all the camping and kill stealing and did the best I could with it. Bria is rather cutthroat on Krayts (and Pre-CU NS), IMO.

I think its just bad luck man... I tuned a "good" crystal for 90/90 -9 (can't remember speed though)

The best thing for my Jedi was my pre CU doc. If not for the millions upon millions of credits I made doing that I would have never been able to afford the over 300 (I know it's my own fault for bothering with goods) pearls and crystals I have tuned to get a 617 damage saber. Force cost is still insane. 4 90ish damage pearls/crystals.. about 100 million credits, and a few hundred hours of looting... I am just gonna deal with my crappy saber.

I feel your pain.

I was in a group last night and all told I must've got about 5 pearls in several hours of constant Krayt fighting. All of them tuned for utter crap - 30-40 dmg. Didn't much care to make a note of the -ve FC with dmg that bad.

It's all very well people saying "I tuned 10 and got 103 and 105" but it's totally random - you can't say a statement like that as if to say "ah well, maybe you're not doing it right".

Unfortunately pearls/crystals tuning is one of those classic situations where people who hoarded prems/flawless pre-CU don't give a s**t, tell others to stop whining, etc and everyone else has to put up with utterly useless sabres.

Save you money and suck it up until Nov.

Well, there you go. Doesnt matter if its pre-cu or post-cu. Its the quality rating that matters. To get good tunes you need premiums, its that simple. No premius = no decent saber.

what if you had your jedi before CU? there were jedi that tuning 10-20 premium crystals/pearls to get decent stats.
force cost is not too much matter like pre-cu. before whining, crying know your saber.

LOL money pit POST CU. Many of us PRE CU spent 100's of millions getting perfict pearls. I personaly have 5 back packs full of tuned crystals and pearls pre cu. It took me that many till i had what i needed. So don't tell me how much your pearls are costing post cu.

I am a Pre-CU Jedi and I tuned 50X better with 1/50 of the monetary cost. This post-cu only tuning is just out of control.

Go ahead and play the worlds smallest violin for me, I don't care. This thread really had no point (it's late and I'm PO'd), so just flame on.

EDIT: Since you are on Bria. Do me a favor and do a quick vendor search. There are only 20 or LESS pearls in the ENTIRE galaxy for sale and the cheapest pearl is 2 mil and "good" crystals are 1 mil. I'm sorry but Pre-Cu I saw FLAWLESS for 10 mil or less (right before CU) and you and I BOTH know premiums were falling like candy out of pinata and were a dime a dozen right before the CU.

99%ofmy Pre-CU tunes were ones that I looted personally in between all the Krayt-faction-base-tanking-nightsister-kill-stealing-and-who-can-bring-down-the-most-guildies-and-out-damage-the-next-guy-madness-with-their-5000dmg-T21-or-1000-mind-fire-pike that I like to call Bria.

Sure... if I had 1 credit for every "woulda", "coulda", "shoulda", I would be a billionaire but Pre-Cu I didn't have the money to lay down on Flawless/Premium like I do now. So instead, I TRIED to ADD to my Pre-CU based saber to no avail... thus... I just give up.

Its down to choice, you pay for good/fair pearls then you take a massive risk.

Simpler thing would be to go hunting yourself as its pretty easy to drop krayts especially with a few guildies and the drop rate of good pearls is not bad.

Pre CU i would hate to think how much i spent on premium crystals and pearls but i ended up with 3 good saber 1h 2h and pole. After the CU conversion i scraped enough together to make 1 decent saber but all the rest of my previously great tunes were crap. So in that sense its no different, you buy you take a risk, you hunt yourself the risk is there but its not costing you any money.

And us Pre CU jedi also got hit with a nerf bat on our tuned crystals/pearls so dont think we got a free ride.
