wondering if anyone has played with this template at all and what there thoughts on it are

Wouldn't be bad as long as you have a very nice saber (650 plus damage) and 50 in speed/acc tapes

i agree, that would be a sweet template, However without an Uber saber and massive skill tapes( which are currently bugged, the speed ones), you might not be very effective at any decent PvP or PvE combat. at least in a damage dealing mannor. it sucks now but if you want to do any effective damage you pretty much have to master sabers. it all depends on how you play, and how much faith you have in them fixing bugs. lol. if speed bugs are fixed and you do get a good saber and skill tapes this would be very nice. we would probly see more dabble professions like this. in which mastering sabers isnt an all out must.

i had this template with an at best amediocre saber crafted post cu with ls tech 4 and average crystals...
it was stellar for pve, and decent for pvp... but i switched up my template in short order to (you guessed it) mls

I have a similar template. Mine is x444 ls/mdef/3xx2 enh/4xxx heal. I like it so far, but it would be even better with pearl drops fixed for a better saber.

master def / 0444 ls / 3002 enh / 4000 healer
very effective template
good for pvp and pve

guildmate of mine has this template he enjoys it and he does pretty good in pve and pvp.
