Thread: Why should a good saber cost you millions?
I think pearls should be some kind of biolinked when looted. Or it would develope some kind of bond between the finder and the pearl so that only the finder/looter can use it.

that would screw new padawons who cant hunt krayts my sabre cost me nothing i looted every pearl in my sabre and it is top of the line just go out and hunt krayts

On my server pearls sellf for 1-1.5mil easy and readily, thats means the TIME you spent looting them was worth 1.5mil to someone else, just because you didnt pay outright cash doesnt mean you didnt buy them, Grats on your good luck but after nearly 1800 krayts for nothing near "top of the line" im taking a break. You hunt krayts and give me the pearls for free since your time obviously has no value.
that's a good question. In order to keep the economy viable, SOE looks to have credits spent and made. While I have spent no where near 100 million (in total maybe 1 mil) on pearls. My saber is about 570 max damage (for those of you who think they can handle that, come get some. lol).
However, all these exorbitant prices has not done much for the galaxies. All these prices have accomplished is increasing the amount of credtis bought on ebay. I've been playing for a little over a year and have not come close to make 100's of millions. (close when I had a doc who buffed). Maybe pearls should be bio-linked. Or go on the bazaar for a fixed price. But a good reason why there arent enough pearls to go around is because they are getting way to xpensive. about a mil a pop on my server.

What hurts is when you see a looted cl50 stone sword that does more damage than the highest lightsaber. Am I the only one that sees the problem here?

i unlocked in july 05, 3 months after cu went live, one year after i started playing.I didn't have to pay jack $h!t for my pearls, you know why i busted my a$$ of in march to get them. and im glad i took my time to unlock my jedi character, for i was better prepared than most of you nade grinders.
you need to change this title.
it should read "hundreds of millions"
