Sitting as a level 65 Padawan, is there any point in continuing to work on leveling between now and the 15th, or is that just a waste of time? I suppose it may help with respec'ing if I gain a few more levels, but I'm guessing about that. Any thoughts?

Well, if I understand correctly, the respec isa direct CL to CL respec. So if you'reCL65 now, when you respec in SWG3/CU2/whatever you want to call it you'll be CL65 as well. So either way you're gonna have to grind.
If you're pretty sure you're going to stick around, I'd say go ahead and grind it, because I'd be willing to bet it will be more difficult to grind in the new system (just speculation, not based on any facts). However, if you're not sure whether you're going to stick around or not, I'd hold off and see how things are first.

IMO. From the sounds of it the respecs will be based on CL only. So even if you are full templated, if your CL is only 65, you are going to lose those extra skills.
My advice, get yourself back up to 80, so you only have 10 new levels to grind instead of 25.
If the new way of levelling is a PITA, you'll be thankful you did.

respec will be based on CL and "trader" skill points so one can assume that a novice LS +master Artisan/architect/image designer(4 hours of grinding) will get all vet jedi rewards and be able to respec to a 80cl Jedi ...
Food for thought ...

Sooo rather than grinding up jedi xp to get to level 80, I can retrain in say my dropped combat medic skills til I get to 80 and will be at the same status for respec either way?
