Thread: Once people realize how un-iconic the new jedi is, you think it will be all that popular?

I have a feeling people won't be so thrilled to play a jedi once they realize it's just another profession. We might see a monsterous influx of newbs but I don't think it will last past a few months, people will want something that beats a Jedi more so than something that can be beaten.

Through the force things you will see, other places, the future, the past; old friends long gone.

I think we were able to “tell” better stories, when we had player interdependency, and multiple, variable classes.

The game has been deliberately skewed to a younger demogra[hic that wants more gratification for less effort. So, less sophisticated combat, less command options, fewer professions and less game game choice. SOE seems to want some of the console market. The problem is, I just don't think they're going to get it. The people who want FPS games can find better, cheaper and console-specific games out there - why would they go to SWG where FPS is just a bolt on. All the people who played the game for the other, extremely rich elements of the game - from harvesting to crafting to questing will go on to the real mmorpgs out there, like DnL, where they can find what SOE has knocked out of the game.

I will test ranged when I can on TC as for now just doing Jedi since it's a bit difficult to get on at times.

When this goes live my alt will be testing ranged profs since ranged appears to have a tremendous advantage over everything now even Jedi in testing .

What can't hit or reach you can't hurt you. Cybernetics FTW?

I think that melee is going to suck against ranged.

So it wont really be worth being a Jedi unless you are an Elder.

Novas Eked - Elder Jedi
Dravoth Eked - Master Bounty Hunter - <IMP>
Fish-Stick - Crafter
Most Prized Possessions: Full Mandalorian Set,
Black Sun Pilot Helmet, Jetpack, Hologram Collection, and Lava Saber.
-I support a rollback and keeping & balancing the old combat system.
...and making SWG a better place to be.
