Thread: The most honorable BH i have ever met

So....
Im standing in our guild hall crafting a buddy a couple of +15 Saber tools when all of a sudden i see a BH standing next to me (didnt even see hi dot coming because i was crafting).
He send me a tell and says "i see you are crafting so i will wait outside for you till you are done". hmmm i thought.....checking the radar to see if there is a gank squad outside.
I finished crafting then walked outside.....there is the BH buffed up and ready to go. Then he says to me "want to use any foods or start some macro's before we start ?", i tell that im cool and lets go for it.
Fight lasted about 2 mins before he was incapped.....but since he was such a polite guy i couldnt bring myself to DB him....but lucky for me before i had to make that choice i get another tell saying "well done....i will drop the mission if thats ok with you"....so i say "Sure !!"
Anyway after this we stand around for a bit chatting about what we both did in the fight.....and the whole thing was a nice/fun experience.
*sigh* why cant all BH encounters be like that

Not to flame anybody or go against peoples views, there are actually alot of BH's that are somewhat nice and respectful. The last few few encounters have been pretty nice and I end up talking to them for 30 minutes or so after about it. Except this one guy that came after me twice while I was almost dead to begin with "fighting high lvl on dant'.

sounds fun, problem is most BH (most meaning 95-98%) wouldnt have returned the favor.
You have to remember that if HE got YOU on your back with that horrible red bar slowly ticking across the screen, you would be a corpse.
In that respect, sometimes i send a tell and ask "would you have DB'd me?" if the answer is not a VERY quick 'nope' then a doublelick ensues.
and well if the answer is a 'yes' they get the auto attack macro AND a double click, to be sure.
no mercy from me if none is shown, 'swhat i say.

What a crappy BH...giving up the element of surprise...so wonder you thwacked him. 
Glad my glowy stick toon is still off the terms (I hope!)...force pvp just isnt nice for a nooblet like me.

i had a nice bounty come after me before, but i'm usuly getting the same darn BH after me day in day out, and its geting annnoing. there should be a mission cooldown timer of say 2 weeks so that the Bounty hunter can't get the same mission twixe or even a terminal mission cooldown or timer before you can drop a mission IE you can't drop mission once you resive marks name and you can only drop mission after TEF has been given.

it depends on the BH I do this from time to time in fact I just ended a bounty with a MLS/MD that i incaped after a 30min + fight no DB becuase it was a great fight and that is why i do BH to be the under dog and win.... While i do attack dueling jedi and jedi grinding / tanking mobs aslo it just depends on the situation for me...
Had a Jedi mission when their was a CSR spawning DJM,DJK, Sentianls and DWB Bloodgaurds on us I could have very easly killed him. But out respect for people, the game I had fun killing the spawns with the guild and then after it was all over i basicly dueled to the death with the guy... Every situation is different.

Okey it's a nice story but the problem is he will never be super successful like that.
I will kill you anyway I can and you will certainly get a DB from me. HoweverI have also stopped attcking when a jedi has asked me "why me again?" as he nears death, making me realize I had killed him a few days earlier.I stopped and dropped. It's just a game , I am very nice and have made many freinds that are jedi both from victories and losses but never in a million years would I give up surprise if I had it.
It's cool the guy was cool but last night I took out a full temp after 30 minutes , I rezzed him and we both chatted and became friends. As long as we are both respectful to each other (meaning BH and jedi) it always turns out ok.

I never get BH's like this, LOL, the last one that came for me ended up dieing because one of his macros (so he says) caused him not to be able to use knockdown recovery and he laid on the ground while I executed a armor break and a couple power hits.
All I got was "You would have lost if I didn't get bugged".

That is what i am talking about, if BHs and Jedi both made no excuses and simply said "good fight" everything would be cool. I hate excuses. I myself have died because of the KD bug and I would never dare bring it up as an excuse. I will kill you anyway I can and get the DB as that is the way the BH profession is designed but I have made MANY Jedi friends on Chilastra. So you can be ruthless and respectful at the same time.
BTW I have rooted Jedi in a rancor lair and gotten the DB but the same thing has happned to me in reverse with Krayts. Jedi also get the DB anyway they can most of the time. I mean come on, who would expect anything else? it's a litteral battle to the death your enaged in at the moment.
The BH okey talks about just does not understand the profession. You can be super nice and respectful as well as a good dangerous ruthless BH.

that BH jsut isn't experienced enough to know how to work it yet...
even if he did TEF you out of your guild hall, killed you and rode off into the sunset, he could still be considered a nice guy.
Nice doesn't always mean willing to let you fight fair.

This is nice and i have the uttermost respect for BH'ers who hunt like this - BUT one shouldnt think this is the only way a BH should hunt.
Jumping someone and taking suprise and advantage of them is still a proper tactic, as is running from a BH.
