Thread: If the movies are canon and SWg is based on canon (loosely), where do we get BH v Jedi from?

NO crap! BH should be attacking smugglers!
ROTFL! THAT would be awesome. Just imagine, smugglers complaining about forced PvP

I'm an avid fan and I'm racking my brain trying to think of a case when a BH is hired to hunt a Jedi.
Jango Fett is hired to "make babies" and (ostensibly) to "protect" Dooku (or do his dirty work "depending on your point of view").
Boba Fett is hired to catch Han and goes after Luke only when Luke goes after Jabba.
The other Bounty Hunters in EP5 are hired to bring Captain Solo back alive.
I can't think of a case when a BH is used directly to go after Jedi. Clones are used, yes. Vader himself does the dirty work in the purge. But no BH is ever hired in a movie to get a Jedi. In fact, when they do, they die without even causing the Jedi to break a sweat.
So where did SWG get this idea from? I know the Bounty Hunter profession is a logical path, but I'm still just not convinced. Is it a book thing?
Jedi should be hunted by Vader and they will ALWAYS lose unless their name ends in Skywalker. i.e. You get vis, you DIE. No chance to win. No chance to PvP a BH and show off your pre-CU saber. Vader shows up, toys with you a bit, then lops your head off.
Anyway, just curious. Seems like it'd solve a lot of complaints. Vader isn't gonna grief you unless you count "exterminated with extreme prejudice" as griefing

"Just wanted to remind you, Solo, that my personal fight was always with the Jedi. You were nothing more than cargo."
Han snorted. "For what it's worth, Fett, you were never more than a nuisance."
Fett laughed shortly, "to better day's Solo."
Guess it is a book thing.
in the EU there is a character named Aurra Sing, who is a force sensative BH who specializes in killing Jedi. This is the only example I can think of.
Altho I do remember reading somewhere that somewhere in the gear hanging of Boba's armor is a padawan braid. How that happened with all the padawans being deadby the timeBoba was 15.

If you lookd into the expanded universe you will learn that the purge lasted years and during that time jedi were hunted down by the empire's death squads and bounty hunters. Bobba Fett himself hunted down many jedi.
Well seeing how SOE can play with the Star Wars time machine and throw us forward and back in time, I would hazard to guess that the BH vs Jedi wars were based on the Mandalorean Wars athousandyears ago.

that would be perfect pre CU since all the jedi had DB sabers rofl
I've always used one-handed saber pre-CU and now ![]()

because of all the un-jedi things the BH terms say they did....
