Be sure to use force wave to slow them down, when they start a healing cycle root them and start spanking them.

Well first off, foods!
Mando Wine.
Booster Blue.
Crispic.
Thundercloud.
Ruby Bliel. Those 1k ekstra heals every 30 sec is damn usefull.

Forget the block food, it doesn't work as far as i know.
Anyway to get things straight, here's my template: MLS/MENH/4040HEAL.

Now you have to realize you can't necesarily win all fights.

Now to the important thing, keep aura running all the time of course and watch your mind bar very closely. In my opinion infusion is not necesary if your mind is low, but that's a personal touch.
Now leave FR1 on all the time of course, try and keep him rooted/snared and DON'T waste your KD move untill his health reaches a critical stage.

Armorbreak him and try and get him rooted and start pounding - if your fast enough and have a decent saber you should be able to get his health down around 50% before he even starts thinking about healing, you'll learn to time the KD over time. But when he's just below 50% health i like to KD them and throw in a Headhit+Leghit (sometimes i manage to get both in before the BH stands up), usally that seals the deal for me - and if that doesn't work i try again a couple of times. At this point you should have a pretty good picture of wether or not you can beat him. If you think you can, keep pounding untill his mind goes down and he can't heal anymore.

The most important thing to remember when fighting a BH is you win if you DB him or run away. You might get hate tells and stuff, but you didn't lose 400k xp - so who won that fight?

Anyway that's how i deal with BH's, hope you can use some of it at least

whenever you knock someone down that is running anymore you get that stupid to far away thing. This is what works for me. IF you have at least Celerity 3 in the enhancer tree you have force suppresion. So I hit suppresion and run up to em then AB knock down and power attack. That way you dont waste your knock down trying to stop them. you can hit em with your biggest shot while they are down. then head/ hit leg hit back and forth. If he gets up and starts running then wave him. Follow him around keeping the pressure on and making him heal. Keep trying to suppresss him and use the A/B knock down Power hit combo every time he falls. Do not waste a knock down while they are running. Or you will be chasing a BH doing the electric slide on his back.

I'm MLS/4440def/4000healer/3002enh

I use the same food combo stated above but I also use Pikatta Pie to increase my dodge, and I keep synsteak handy if I need to mitigate more damage to slow down on heals.

I have to say that's an excellent food combo. I fought 4 MBH/MCMs today and came out on top every time. Use low force attacks (I use a saber strike, head hit combo). Eat their mind up KD them down often so they can't heal to get them behind in damage too. Keep armor break on them and blind so they miss alot.

Keep Aura up too.

okay... saw some good tips and a couple different strategies in there. The thing though, is to determine wich strategy to use.

For instance, when to KD

Strategy -

1. Use KD only when target is 30% health, so you can finish them off while their are on their back and can't heal.

2. Use KD every 30 sec to control the pace of the fight, and overtime do as much damage (and take as little as possible).

When to use (for me, strategy 1. never works because Jedi can heal while on their backs)

1. Use strategy 1. when the BH has CM4000 or MDoc and you notice he's having a hard time keeping the health up. (Either you are out damaging him at times or he is just not paying enough priority to heals)

2. Use this strategy if they are a Kiting template (MBH / MPist / Carb 0440, etc.) andonly have Stim D heals or if they do have heals theyare VERY good at keeping up with heals. This will help you do as much damage over time as possible, eventually killing the docs mind, or simply wearing down the Kiter's health and running his stomach full of ruby bliel.

I suppose the number one thing to do, is to NOT freak out.

Another tip that may save your toon's life some day, I always tell my BHs (i'mGL of a BH guild) that they should NOT run recursive macros that que actions. They may get in the way when you need to do something else. For instance if a duelistic stance macro pops, but what you REALLY need is a heal cause you are low on health, or if you are 50m from target and kiting them.

Instead I encourage the use of alarms for their stuff. Gives them a warning when duelistic stance is almost up or when they will need to renew infusion, etc. That way they can either choose to renew the action or go without it if there are more important actions that take priority.

well this combo is awsome, but since you use your saber throw right away you need to wait 30 seconds, if you have root, save your throw and root him.

dizzy, ab, kd, power attack, head hit.

Had a bh come for me today. He must have missed me shopping at this reb cities bazaar. So he calls his bike n heads off to the direction of my house. I know he was going to my house cause this city is the closest to my house n the only other thing out that way was the abandoned rebel base. (He was wearing imp scout armor).

So he flies by. So I go into said reb city hall to craft a new saber. Finish the saber n he shows up in front of the guild hall. then goes out a bit n cloaks.

So Im like. Im not in a fighting mood. was crafting n surveying all day on my alt. So I log out in the reb city hall. Just a funny story I wanted to share.

I need advice from someone that can advise or critique my method.

I am currently MLS Enhancer 2202 Heal 4000 Defender 4030

Going to be MLS Enhancer 3402 Heal 4000 Defender 4040

I almost always notice the BH as he approaches (Ctrl M is always up) so I am usually not caught totally off guard.

I immediately pop pica thundercloud (100 ranged def), vayer block (block), ithorian mist (fire), and mandolorian wine.

After paralyze wears off I adv saber throw for the kd and use FR1 to catch up to the BH. Strange thing is that I always get the "too far away" message. In other words on my screen the BH is right at my feet but in the game he is actually 15 m away. So I started using /follow.

Even with /follow on the same thing happens almost every time. I have even tried Root and then KD the BH still manages to slide. If I could get the attack going I could win but what happens is the BH jumps up about 15 m away and starts popping me over and over.

Now my method after KD is to travel about 15 m past the BH (in the direction the BH was heading)and start swinging and this has helped some.

The moves I use most are headhit, saberthrow, and leghit. Are there other hits I should be using?

Please any tips would be appreciated.

Attack their mind/action bars. Make them waste heals like mad. Use low force cost attacks until they're mind is nothing or action bar is dropped... (I prefer mind because of heals) and then hit them with all the goods! This will help manage your force. Master Defender helps too. *wink*

nobody has been able to get around that bugg easily...happens to me all the time..its stupid...i usually just end up triple incapping them...if it starts doing that to me..i just triple incap them and not fool with it...but my strategy is when a bh/cm comes after me..i take thundercloud and accuracy food...really all you need...but the other stuff you describe is great as well..doesn't hurt too have extra buffs...i'm usually always on mado wine/booster etc.....first thing is to root..pound on them..then when the root wears off..kd them...when they get back up snare them..then /follow you'll have them on the defensive most of the time...just wear them down...keep a good saber throw on them for kd's...i wouldn't use your force armor against bh/cm's since they take so long..it will wear your force down faster...but up to you...aura is just fine with me.....bh/cm's take longer but you'll get them always in the end..remember to take ruby bliel and have some good 1200+ stims in case he gets ya in between heals.....

Keep FR1 active
Continue using /follow
Use forcespeed (I have mine on a macro)
**Make sure and use armorbreak and mix in stun, blind, bleed, and bodyhit, etc.
have saberhit as your auto attack to wear them down while you have them on follow
