They were old requirements to construct doublebladed lightsabers pre-publish 9. They act the same as an equal quality crytsal.

Lightsabers are now generic in the truest sense.

They are worth the entertainment value of tuning a crystal and getting -4 damage +6 FC. Good times... Good times...
