Heck, I also dable in Defender!!

Enhancer 3402, Defender 0044 (Lightsaber Master, Healer 4000)

Some of the best skills right there. While others my find more use in other skills these suit me fine. They are well rounded and provide little to determined broken or uneven.

At the moment, the main issues is with the MindPool costs on Channel which effectively removes it from a skill which is to be used in combat as it was devised.

I feel bad for the players who will have to relearn how to play once Cloak gets fixed. I agree, Snare on cloak does NOT support the intention of that skill. THe developers should devote a fix to break cloak if ANY skill isusedwhile cloaked. If a Snare is created then ForceConsumption _MUST_ be removed.

By the way, anyone know when Lightsabers will be fixed to allow for actuall usage of the skills as they were designed? Nothing better then bugged speed and bugged force cost with additional penalties of mindPool costs when attacking. (if mind pool usage remains for Lightsabers then they need to add MindPool costs on ALL elite profession skill which exist to attack)

I haven't quite gotten to the point of starting my template yet, still on the FS part, I was thinking of going after a powers addition with a similar set like you have, but after thinking about it and all the talk and set-ups that people have I figured to give that same template a go once I get there.

Question I have on it is how well do you fare PvE and PvP? also what you you do to effectively maintain your force pool?

I am just trying to get a feel for it so that once at that point I can jump in with confidence.

Being that I have Lightsaber Mastery, it's all about having _FOUR_ exceptionally tuned pearls which is the heart of the current issue in this game. Pre CU I had tuned well over 150+ crystals and something close to about 30-40+ pearls to get what I have. This is not much different post CU.

The problem with this is most players lack the attention to seek out and grind in search of lightsaber componets and expect to get a free ride through one item which would yield something close to a perfect tunning - this is not good and it's the reason why it's not implemented in the curret sysem (perfect tunnings).

Players are required to go grind out and loot their compoents to obtain a base of items to begin tunning. Current Jedi, with the system being forced upon us, requires Jedi to have about 30-40 tunnings to obtain a "few" in the range of 85/85 - 95/95. This gives way to a need to have 200 crysals/pearls. Pearls have a slightly better chanced of yeilding a higger tune.

The problem is 200 compoents will take you 6months to a year to loot and possibly longer with the current loot structure of the game.

I've killed DJM's only getting "3 units of ore" and numerous Nightsisters with nothing other then a jar of berries (after about 200 killed I've recieved 2 or 3 crystals). This is hardly balanced towards effective and entertaining game play.

So, I sugest you get out there and become that nasty little lewt whoore that we all love to be.

PvE - I do great! ForceArmor will hit me hard and requires me to fall back on Channel. If I'm powergrindnd some players I will have to use a Focus Crystal niorder to push the limits of game play - and it does not enure a win.

PvP - I do VERY good!! It's going to fall back on individual skill and "timing". Timing is the key above anything else. Force consumption is more of a problem with a lightsaber with fc27 then using ForceArmor. (barely even feel a loss from ImprovedForceArmor.

If you want to have fun and be profecient against ranged players you'll want to look at Valor. +25 saber block equates to 50% block and when using Aura +500 defenses you'll notice that what you don't block will miss about half of the time - if they don't hit then you don't loose force for Armor and you will also not need to heal which is more taxing then anything else in this game.

Whew ... looks like I have a lot to work onand to think about

Heh, I don't normally like to be a loot-**edit**, but sounds like I'll need to start rolling for it more often. Usually when I am grouped with Jedi while grinding and stuff drops they need I pass on the loot so they can have it /shrug ... time to start stocking up from the sounds of it.

Thanks for the input, definately food for thought

Actually, Iswitched to that template last night. I was looking for another way to protect my Force bar from Force Armor's drain, and Valor looked to be the key for my style. So happy to have FR1 back, lol. Miss meditates animation though.

Looking forward to testing it out in combat soon.

Enhancer, Defender, and Healer are great dabbler deisciplines. . .

Those that master one of these profs gains some advantages while giving up some other advantages.

Of them all, enhancer is one of the best tom master
