I would like to know if BHs can attack Jedi initiates or rather do they show up on BH terminals? Or does this all start with Padawan?

Thnx.

well a jedi initiate has no force bar so theres no way for them to use force which is what gives jedi visability.also most jedi are only an initiate for a short time until they complete the other half of the padawan trials.

hehe so as an initiate you can run arround getting your lightsabre to ignite although you can't accually attack with it

You gain visibility for initiating attack with a lightsaber.

Haven't been an Initiate for a year, but when I did it, Initiates were not put on the terms, only after reaching Paddy.

I got killed by my first BHer while I was doing my paddy trials but this was a long ass time ago. from what people have told me now since even saber hit takes force and you have no force till paddy you cant use your saber till paddy.. so I would guess if you cant do anything jedi like you cant get on the terms. but this is a guess and I would assume in your place that the second you started your trials you want to avoid vis.

the way vis is caused is by a jedi using force pool. WHich mean if he heal, cloaks or fights with his saber he will be vised. A jedi can not ignite his saber anymore unless you attack with it and a jedi can not atack with his saber unless he has force pool. so the answer to your question is no an initiate can not get vis cause he has no force pool or powers to work with. When you double click on a target to attack you are using the basic saber hit that requires force pool to use.

i was one of the force sensitives (didn't even kill mel yet and only had 5 trees done) about a year ago when I landed on the terminals but was not attackable by the BH. But that's when there was some odd bug that sent a lot of players onto the terminals for no reason. But that's a different story.

The testing done on TC, also about a year ago, more or less proved that jedi initiates do not gain vis no matter what they do. They also have a cap of 100k jedi xp (unless that changed) so that you couldn't grind too far and since you don't get a jedi trainer and skill chartuntil you are padawan its mostly useless to bother. It used to make sense to get the first 20k since at that time the best spots for the xp were near NPC's. But group vis (or no visfrom group memebrs)also changed all that too.

There are jedi that have said that they swung their trainer saber around all over the place, did not end up on the terminals at all, but as soon as they hit padawan, they were on them. So I'm not sure if its a case where the visibility was "stored" but the game mechanism didn't put them on the BH term until they hit the rank of padawan. Or if they landed on the terms when they hit padawan from something stupid they did.

Bottom line, just do everything you can to not get on the terms, its really easy to stay off them.

Was under the impression (now where did I see it, a Dev post or 1 of the red named accounts lol) that only at padawan do you start racking up vis.

You have to be a Jedi Padawan (finished all your trails) to be hunted. BUT after you finish your trails you have 1 week of peace... after that 1 week is up, if you generated enough visibility during that 1 week you will automatically be on the BH boards.

I have heard this rumor of a grace period before, and it is just that, rumor. I was found by a BH on my fifth day, having only had two accidents with vis during that period. First accident invovled Kunga's spawning on top of our group, and I did not unequip my Lightsaber fast enough. Second was with a guild member coming to join the group, and not realizing that he ought perhaps wait outside a small distance until he was invited in. Anyway, two what I thought of as small hiccups, and on the fifth day I was visited by a BH and dispatched rather quicklly. Of course, this is was while the BH could get names and an estimate of our abilties from the Terminals.

Since then, I have not been visited though I have certainly had a few more accidents with visibiltiy. I expect I have a great deal of visibility after going off the page completely, and showing overt in Kaadara as a Jedi, to heckle BH's. That, is another story.
