Hey jedi hows it going? Just wanted to discuss the new expansion coming out. First off, does everyone agree that tuning crystals sucks, and that you have to be freaking rich to even buy a premium and have a good saber. On my server they gor for about 20 mil plus. The reason why they took out the premium pearls and crystals eluded me for awhile, then with the announcement of the new Expansion things started to fall into place.

Lets look at their Marketing strategy(this is for people who already play). We all know after the CU, before kashyyyk jedi were being murdered like cattle to fill the hunger of a BH, i should know i was one. And jedi were not pleased seems everywhere they go a BH pops up bang bang, hours of exp gone. Now this continued for quite sometime. Then All of a sudden Kashyyyk is being added to the new expansion. Now, playing the game as a casual gamer looking for fun and new stuff this is great, HELL YEAH, a person would think. And no one would think, Jedi shouldnt be hunted on this planet, not even the jediwould think that.And at first no one Knew this little "bug" as they call it would happen. So a large group of people strat buying the expansion, not knowing the results. Now i am mainly addressing the BH vs Jedi Role here and hows its earned them money, So if your not one good for you and enjoy ther game.

Parts 1-3 are rambling to lead up to the more important grand scheme

Part 1: People Buy the game enjoy it, thinking wow its much different then any other planet, Jedi and BH included.

Part 2: Bounty hunters have their fun on the planet, then decide well i have had my fair share of fun time to hunt a jedi. He does his thing, gets a mission launches it, and like usual he gets his target, which would mosty of the time be on dantooine.

Part 3: A couple of jedi bounties collected, Hmm maybe 1 more for the night. A message pops up and says your target cannot belocated due to the many life signs. And im Sure in his mind he is thinking "ahh a nice challenge for once, well that is not how it was" he said WTH is going on. And so he researches.

Part 4: The research leads to unhappy results as an as* load of cursing and screaming. Seems that Seekers dont work "something the Devs could not figure out", in which made Kash a jedi haven.

Part 5: The word spreads like the plague, Jedi Cant be Hunted on Kash. Jedi who have been killed realize the potential of this and know what they have to do. Buy this expansion and grdin hard before they change it. So along with the people who just want the game, now every jedi wants it incase of a BH attack.

Part 6: Birth of a New jedi. THE AFK GRINDER. dont get me wrong not all jedi did this, but ALOT did. These jedi would set at the ryatt trail for hours away from keyboard with macro running getting exp.

Part 7: As a new breed of jedi emerge, so does the elite BH hunting that new breed. They actually hunt they go from trail to trail looking and looking for the jedi. They find the jedi, hes afk and kills him. Then later they push a publish in which no names are given until your like 1k away from target, and u cant get that close on kash. So the finaly plan is done all kash jedi are safe.

Part 8-999999999999999999 BH and Jedi Fight and complain about anything that happens.

To sum it up thier idea was Let BH slaughter Jedi,first. Bring out a Planet in which jedi can grind safely,but in order to get there you must purchase the expansion. So first it was casual purchases, then the jedi who went after it. Then the BH who found a way to counter the afk by a little harder work. Then after enough time went by they said "we dont want a BH to knwo the name of a target" and removed the names. They felt enough time went by everyone had the chance to get the expansion, "Ok guys they are all in, Shut the gate down now" and which is exactly what they did, and jedi were safe on Kash.

All that to tell you this

They made pearls, and crystalssuck. They know ther are alot of jedi. They know those jedi feel self conscious about there little saber that doesnt quite compete with the big boys. They create Rumors of crystals and pearls being added back in the game, just rumors so they dont know where or how, just that they will be back. They tell you this time that Jedi will be able to be hunted so BH keeps ther eyes and earsopen. Talk of jedi missions and obi-wan and some new lava crystal( if i remeber right). This is all in the attempts to get jedi(more then 50%) of the population to buy the expansion to get crystals.

They took out the crystals for a reason, to let us think about it. And get us desperate "every post jedi wants better crystals",unless he has a great business and buys pre cu premiums.

I just finished my temp, and I am so bored caseu theres nothing left to do in this game. So i typed this up, Love to talk about it with some of you.

And if FRS doesnt come back soon, im Gone. getting a fully trained jedi padawan truly is the endgame. But thats another discussion. Ok Well looking forward to talking to ya.

You thought you had it figured out but your wrong.

The developers are marketing everything possible around episode 3. That is the only reason we got kashyyk and now coming mustaphar instead of hoth and/or dagaboth, and many other coo planets not to mention.

Soe thinks they win by dragging in new players, people who have seen the movies, when in fact they are pushing out all the veterans .

Look to see very soon after the episode 3 craze fades , one of the two things to happen.

1. They will talk about a release of a SWG 2 in which it will be based in different time-zone.

2. They will add an expansion actaully worth buying , fix all the things we hate about the CU and they will bring back the old players like drawing flies to a dead animal.

i admit your part right, im talking about jedi here. And That ir your opinion that im wrong, but in mine im right. They are going after the movies yes, but im talking about people who play the game anbd are not obessedwith the movies that is the basis of my discussion. They removed crystals and pearls (the good ones) to further feed a goal of jedi wanting and needing better ones which did this. Im not talking about the new gamers who came just for the movie content im talking about jedi who need crystals,(which will be added in expansion)Players whohunt as a Bounty hunter,which will be required to buy the expansion since all the jedi will want to do the quests for the crystals.

And as For SWG2, i doubt it. If they were to create a new one they would have to name it and make it completey different to be a success. And a Expansion to Fix everything makes no sense. Your implying they will charge us money to get everything fixed. If they do that everyone will leave that will force everyone to buy it to make the game they are paying 15$ a month for better.

And as for fixing everything, dont expect that to happen for years, if the game even lasts that long. Took them 2 trys to fix the DoT problem, and the first fix wasnt had nothing to do with it. It was building maitenace, now those to thigns are so far apart, so it was a stealth fix they went wrong and we were told nothing, or incompatance. Your choice

I think the chose the "kash" planet because they wanted to make "cash" on a planet.

There is not much more to be said.They are simply farming our vallets while we spend our days,weeks and months farming virtual things that will bring us nothing more than satisfaction and loss of RL money.

There are about 1 million active and paid-for accounts for Star Wars Galaxies and this earns SOE 15,000,000 $ a month...And I tell you,more than half of this money probably stays in pocket for SOE.While earning so much money,their lust grows even greater and they ask us to PAY for something that we used to have for FREE and was taken away from us.Which is the pearls/crystals and the FRS (They say this expension has nothing to do with the new FRS but I can bet 15 mil dollars ( ) on that Mustafar will be a major requirement for the Knight Trials and the Force Ranking advancement(so that both paddies and pre-cu knights will have to buy it in order to enjoy FRS)

An online game is not supposed to last longer than 3-4 years the most.And in this short time,the maximum amount of money must be farmed in order for the boss' daughter to have breakfast in Paris,lunch in Miami,dinner in Sydney and 'have fun' with some holywood artist in Las Vegas,lose about 5 mil dollars gambling and then go sleep in the most expensive suite of the most expensive hotel...and repeat this everyday

They don't care about us veterans,neither do they care about newbies who come just to enjoy the content of the latest movie in a game for a few months and then cancel account.They don't need to think forward,because it's been half a year since CU came and we all(me included) proved to be willing Aa'kuan spawns of their camping spot...No matter what happens,even the most loyal veteran would someday leave without seeing the last server shut down of SWG history...I'm sure you catch my drift...Servers are overpopulated,we lag because there are too many people online in the same server and it's slightly too much for the server.We get nerfs to BH and Jedi repeatedly NOT because the other profs (in or outside the jedi community) wants it but because they want the pleasure and continuing patronage of the subject community who would be pleased upon the nerfs.Then they nerf the pleased community and please the angry one and this goes on.They are throwing a few new stuff so everyone thinks they will actually fix the game...

As a result,everyone is staying in the game and cash keeps flowing...I am a rookie programmer and am still attending my courses to learn more,I have quite a bit of idea about what it is these guys are doing(DEVs).It's not easy at all,but it is not impossible.People create perfect games/programmes in very short periods of time through hard work and when I look at this game I can brightly and clearly see these so called Developers drinking coffee and chit chatting most of the time,they do NOTHING to fix/improve this game.

well..it seems there was more than I thought there was to be said hehe...But in the end,personally,I am still paying for this piece of s*** they call game...so...let's continue PvP'ing in Theed

I really think you are reading way to much into the new Expansions. I do not think there is any big 'Master Plan' with these Expansions, its basically a simple attempt to keep SWG in the stores. After all if the product is not on the shelves people do not buy it, every MMOrpg does it. Things are broke or not working as intended, this is normal for MMOrpg. Ive played them for nearly 7 years now, every single one suffers from the same problems. You cannot make a perfect game, it is impossible. There will always be players who look for loopholes and take things too the max, they do things not even thought about when the game or program was devised, thus creating problems.Sadly there are way to many variables to make the perfect MMOrpg.

As for Veteran players, well they can never be pleased. No matter how hard a company tries these people will never be pleased. Unless a MMOrpg stays exactly how it was when the veteran player first logged in and started playing, he will not like and progression or evolution of the game. They think they know it all and have a odd tendancy of believing that the Developers of their favourite MMOrpg have a on-going duty to provide content for them personally, just because they have been playing longer than someone else. I personally do think we will see SWG 2 one day, when i do not know. Perhaps it will not be Sony who make it, but it will happen one day. The Star Wars license is way to big to just ignore and sooner or later the current client will be just too old and knackered to be viable anymore.
