Sony Online Entertainment Community Policies

Taken from our Community Policies:

Participation in antisocial, disruptive, or destructive acts. This includes but is not limited to, "flaming", "spamming", and "trolling". "Flaming" is defined as: Making insulting criticisms or remarks to incite anger. "Spamming" is defined as: Sending numerous and or unwanted and disruptive amounts of messages. "Trolling" is defined as: Stirring up trouble to incite disruption. An example of trolling would be posting to a thread without the intent to provide positive suggestions or comments and instead making negative and or disruptive comments.

This is a warning to everyone in this forum. If the trolling continues you will have action taken against your account.

So then do it already. You are cowards each and everyone one of you. You have never once thought about the people who are your customers and your disrespect for your customers is unnecessary.

I have no issue with the statement above other than the fact that there is a difference between stating the TRUTH and being a troll or flaming a thread. Without negativity there would be no change in our world. Some people are negative and others always positive. Is it the difference between those who accept change and those who fear it? No, they are separate. I accept change but not when it is wrong or unwarranted. Change for the sake of change is harmful at best.

SOE now, after 2 years that SWG has existed, only know decides to enforce this rule above, which in itself is due, but to take it to this level, to ban forum access or accounts or lock or delete threads that merely state the obvious or the truth about your , or shall i say, our, game.

If you refuse to fix bugs after months and months, and we post our displeasure with this, we are violating the terms of service? We cannot dissent from you as customers or voice our opinion without being censored for any word that doesnt place SOE or its SWG developers in the brightest of light?

What have our brothers and fathers fought for in our country and countries all over the world that share in the basic principles of the right of man to voice his uncensored critizism at injustice and / or disapproval? Who told you that you had the right?

If you claim this right simply because it is your forums.. fine.. i can accept that. But really, truly, isnt the heart of the issue our obvious dislike of your business model and treatment and total lack of respect for us as people and customers to tell you when you have made a mistake? That we are to be punished for voicing our frustrations against a game producer that refuses to listen to those who play AND pay for your service?

You have an obligation not only to your shareholders, of which i am a holder myself, and your customers, but also to the story of Star Wars which we have come to love and hold it close to us, and it has become part of our lives, our culture even. As a producer of a game of one of the greatest stories ever, there is an inherent obligation to those fans to deliver a product that not only works AS INTENDED, but delivers content that tells the story of Star Wars in the most accurate of ways possible and still remain a fun and exciting game to play and build a character according to our star wars fantasies.

Instead we are angry when we should not be, when you should be EARNING your 15 bucks a month instead of stealing our dream and dollars for a story that you dont keep accurate, fail to fix bugs not because you cant, but because it is not cost effective. Cost effectiveness preventing you from fixing bugs that you made, we paid for, and refuse to fix because the fix doesnt make money, but the promise of a fix or an implied fix keeps gamers playing with the hope that your company hasnt lost all of its common sense and will actually fix these issues.

And you expect us to pay for expansions, spam us with popups upon login, and charge at a cost of over 2/3s the original games price with 1/20 the content simply to milk us of as much money as you can because you know that us true star wars fans have no other option if we want to be apart of the star wars world with OTHER players. You have a monopoly. We have no choice. We are addicted to star wars, but not to your game, but it is our only way to get our fix.

So you take advantage of the name Star Wars by promising a more star warsy feel, but then you remove importance of the galactic civil war and refuse to remove jedi and bounty hunter from the gcw to foster balance among normal professions. Bounty Hunters that are Imperials? Smuggling Imperials? Jedi with lightsabers that do the least dmg in the game as weapons, and in the story lightsabers can melt blastshields.. ok that makes sense.

We have lists miles long of bugs and story errors that can and should be fixed to maintain the star wars feeling, but your version just means a new expansion.. as though spending 30 dollars just for chits and giggles makes me feel like im in star wars all by itself? You expect us to fork out this w/o any information or lack of vital information but tell us if we dont pre-order we miss out on loot that everyone is gonna need (like a lava skiff if u dont have u cant cross the lava river), and even more funny is you expect us to pay while we already know the bugs we reported you wont even fix before it goes live and 1/2 of your promises wont get implemented. And before we can blink, all you want to discuss is the NEXT EXPANSION.

Greed.

You take our love of star wars and to have morphed it into an evil dark force of greed that seems to never be quenched.

Why are you so afraid of the truth? Why must you sensor our posts as though we were in germany 70 years ago? If you would just try, try to fix these issues and LISTEN to your customers, not the nerf cry's, but the real issues and legitimate complaints.. like bugs that go unfixed for years.. a smuggler profession promises an upgrade for 15 months or longer and never completed with no eta.

We riot because you sensor our words before reading them, before understanding the issue, or caring about the issue. We are silenced because you are afraid to listen to the truth of what you have done to our dream. Out of greed.

Thank you oh evil sith devs... for we know there are only 2 of you that exist, the question, which one is the master and which the apprentice. Tiggs or Garva? Honestly, i dont think anyone else works on SWG. I have played many many mmorpg, but never ever even when there were many problems and issues with those games in the past, even if you added up all the rants of every other game in every forum, would never match the bitterness that your customers have against SONY or SOE or its companies due to YOUR inability to do what you promise.

I remember a day when a promise was made that instead of working on the FRS, you would fix bugs first. We were happy, not sad, for the bugs we more important to us. A few days later you announced ToOW. No bugs have yet to be fixed that we have complained about. Lightsaber speed bug anyone? You admit it is a bug but opening and honestly state that their is no ETA, but a month earlier promised to fix bugs before working on new content. Full of lies, you all are. The dark side i sense in each of you.

Shame on you. Shame on you all.

again. This post has nothing to do with jedi being powerful or not. It has to do with promises, due diligence to fix bugs, etc. I am not advocating more power to jedi. I want promises kept, i want communication, honest communication, bad or good. I dont want to be in the shadows when i pay for a service. I dont want to be expected to pay for expansions without knowing it will be supported and that the content is worth the price you are asking. I refuse to be treated as a gamer. I demand to be treated as a customer. I expect promise made, to be a promise kept.

If only FTC or whoever governs product advertising would get a hold of the promises made by SOE to sell box's or downloaded expansions and look at the number of those promises that were broken, SOE would lose its business license or be fined for false advertising.

It is bad business practice to sell a product half completed, expect prompt payment by its customers, and then refuse to support or fix the issues that result from programmer and developer complete lack of quality control of a product. It is considered their business model to not fix bugs that are not game breaking (at their definition of game breaking) because it doesnt generate money to do so. It is just as criminal to do this as it is for the CEO of Enron to knowingly fudge the accounting books.

What they are doing is Criminal.

This message was posted by a paying customer of swg who seems to be somewhat upset about the customer service he has been recieving. I dont blame him one bit I feel the exact same way about the above issue and feel everyone else should have the right to read this message.

Haha, that's exactly how I feel along with so many other customers. Why don't they realize it's more expensive getting new customers than keeping old ones.
